I am currently testing this racket. Initial thoughts are that this racket is one of the best from Yonex for some time. I'm really enjoying this racket. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
I am testing a 3U version with G4 grip. I would prefr G5 grip but they are not available in the UK. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Looking forward to your official write up on this one Paul I wonder why UK gets G4 rackets every time. Maybe Yonex somehow have this notion that people there have bigger hands?
That tends to be it. There is this belief that European players require larger grips. From my experience, there is a high percentage of players using incorrect grip size relative to the size of their hands. This means that the racket does not sit in the fingers and moves into the palm. This in turn means the grip change cannot happen quickly without the player letting go of the racket and re-gripping. Additionally, the wrist cannot move as freely which has a huge impact on overhead power and the ability to change the direction of the shuttle. In essence, grip size matters and we cannot reduce the size easily, but we can increase easily. It's always a difficult choice. At one time Yonex used to offer G3 so we are now using smaller grips. But, I believe we need to offer 2 grip sizes. It would be a nightmare for retailers and this is why we do not ofer this service in the UK. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
The that I have chosen is the ZF2 LD. Unfortunately The only LD Force available was in 4U G5. So this the racket that I bought. Can't to try this beast out hopefully this won't tear my arm off
Nice color! Was browsing those china forums and one user compared LDF more similar to AT900P and AT700. Any one used AT900P and LDF too?
I have used LD Force and AT900 P. They are different rackets. And AT700 is different again. LD Force is more flexible and has less weight in the head. Its also a more streamlined head. I'd be surprised if LD is using this spec considering it is so different from AT700, Li- Ning N90 and Z Force 2. However, sometimes players change their requirements. I think LD Force is a far more forgiving racket and will suit more players than ZF 2. It would definitely be on my list if I was still using Yonex. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Lin Dan is using a disguised VTZF2. Check out http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...and-their-racquets.2306/page-193#post-2497221.
went to the shop yesterday and was planning to buy this racket. However, I found out both the frame size and shaft length is identical to the Victor Onigiri when I overlay them. Can hardly notice any difference visually. However, LDF still have a little higher BP and stiffer shaft. I already own the onigiri and isn't sure how much difference/improvement the LDF would give me.... EMMMMMMmmmm
Interesting that when I reported LCW wasn't using his Duora 10 there were a number of personal attacks on me through this forum. Somebody else points out the evidence that LD is using a repainted ZF2 and everyones OK with that. Irrespective of whether LD is using this racket, it really is a very good racket. It is far more user-friendly compared to ZF2 and will certainly be a great replacement or update for those players using the original VT80 who don't want or like VT80 Etune. I will finish testing the racket this week and have the review ready next week. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
