Here comes my prediction : MS : LIN DAN WS : XIE XING FANG or ZHANG NING MD : CAI YUN/FU HAI FENG WD : GAO LING/HUANG SUI XD : ZHANG JUN/GAO LING
have i made my prediction yet? i dun care anyway, im going to do it again ms - lin dan, ive lost my faith in taufik ws - xie xingfang md - one of these pairs - cai/fu, eriksen/lundgaard, alven/luluk wd - gao/huang xd - gao/zhang
Why lose faith in Taufik, as I see it he's the worlds most skilled Player, perhaps together with Gade. His net play and power smashes are awesome and as from what I see he only lacks some stamina.. Thats why he lost to an amazing fit Lin Dan in SC 2005.. Gaining that stamina when he has fully recovered from that knee injury, we will see a Taufik that if he can stay calm in my opinion will be as hot a favourite as Lin Dan.
I agree...Taufik's techniques are very impressive...if not better than Peter Gade. My predictions are: MS: Taufik WS: Maybe Zhang Ning will retain her title MD: Candra/Sigit WD: Huang/Gao XD: Zhang/Gao
All Chinese MS : Lin Dan WS : Xie Xingfang, but I hope Zhang Ning! MD : Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng WD : Gao Ling / Huang Sui XD : Gao Ling / Zhang Jun
It's still too early to tell as we can probably get a more accurate prediction and overall picture of the strength and performance of the players leading up to the WC after the next two major grand prixs are played. Personally, I think in MS Lin Dan is still the top, in-form player at the moment and he will be extremely hungry to take this 7* event after the Olympic title escaped his grasp. If he can adjust to his normal game, he will be able to live up to his top ranking. I think all of us fans are hungry for a so-called neutral ground Lin vs Taufik final battle! In MD, realistically, all top 5 current world pairs have a legitimate chance. Of course, Cai/Fu are currently the hottest pair and they've gained much experience since their 2003 WC bronze. They should be the top pick at this moment. The WS is probably the toughest to predict right now: is it gonna be Zhang or will it be Xie?? I believe and hope that Zhang can capture her 2nd WC title to end a very successful career. In WD, we all agree it's gonna be a battle betwen Zhang/Yang vs Gao/Huang. Not too much to stir about. IMHO, the XD will be the toughest discipline for China to capture gold. There will be heavy challenges from the English, Danes and Indonesians (tho I don't think they can win the gold due to Nova's instability). Heck, even the Thai have the ability to upset the Chinese. And, who can forget the lengends Kim/Ra, coming from retirement to try and reclaim their title! At this point, I would pick Robertson/Emms but Im hoping for Zhang/Gao to regain to top form!!
For the next WC, I also want to see the battle of LIN DAN against Taufik and hope LIN DAN win... ..... and for WS, hmm seems to be between XIE XING FANG vs ZHANG NING....it will be nice if XXf win....and will be a winner couple with LIN DAN
No one is predicting danes to win any title! Personaly I think that Gade and Jonassen can do it... And either Paaske/Rasmussen or Eriksen/Lundgaard can win! And maybe Eriksen/Schjoldager can make a suprise!

Watch out... D. Lin is going to whack your butt... My prediction as of now: MS: Lin Dan.( maybe taifik can be as good as Lin Dan, if Taufik can improve his fighting spirit and his stamina.) WS: Xie XingFan. (age factor) MD: Cai/Fu. WD: Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen. MX: Lilyanna Natsir/Nova (Nova need to be more reliable)
I think Hafiz Hashim will win.. Well..I do think that Hafiz Hashim can win instead of Lee Chong wei..because he had manage to beat CHong Wei in their last encounter. Anyway..do remember that he was the All England Champion.
Yes..he can be very dangerous when he is top form! He can beat anyone. I also like Roslin's game..! But it's sad to see him unable to play in the world championships. He was a former no 1 in the world..ermm..
Yeah, bouncing here and there... typically Ong Ewe Hock and Foo Kok Keong style... yeah, I remember Roslin was ranked no. 1 during the week where the players were seeded for WC 2001... so Roslin became the top seed in that year but unfortunately he was eliminated in the first round..
Always challenging to give a prediction. MS I hope Hafiz Hashim will be in top form, and when he is, he is the favourite. Otherwise Lin Dan. WS Who knows, chances are that she is either chinese, or ex chinese. Don't see any Audina surprises MD I go for the current champions, Rasmussen/Paaske. WD really who cares that much, without RA, the last bit of excitement has left the scene MXD Robertson/Emms will want to make up for the lost AThens Olympics.
