I feared LCW would suffer the same fate as the Danish WD pair yesterday after they led 19-16 in the rubber game. Very glad he did not.

i think LCW will easily beat either of them.

    Gold is pretty much assured.

CL will stretch the match to 3 sets and VA will be out of steam in the end

CL takes the lead off VA's net error, 12-11

Well, that was a curious net fail by VA 11-11

VA cool as a cucumber. CL looks tense.

Looked like LD was more nervous near the end. LCW never looked back much for coaches advice, whereas LD constantly was looking back to coaches for confirmation and advice.

You're just waiting for this moment to rub it in. It's Lin Dan himself prior to the Olympics who said he's not afraid to lose, implying that he can afford to. That doesn't mean he didn't want to win, who doesn't.

Nope rivalry is rivalry. The scar of personal humiliation is more than anything else. Losing to a younger player is not that humiliating. Losing to a player always in crucial moments and then having a last say . Revenge best served is cold.

If LCW wins Gold, will his title be Maha Datuk? Sri Datuk? Maha Agung Datuk? Atau Datuk perwakilan Johor LCW.

I don't think so. From 20-17 on, LD enjoyed every second of it, playing his best. LCW was extremely nervous. When he won you could see the nervousness and tension leave his body.
