My Crystal ball suddendly came and say, the most all wanted match, LD LCW will play anticlimax. With relatively easy LCW win straight game.
The most reason why because LD lose to himself, played below his standard, not interested because he have 2 gold, et cetera. Not because how good LCW play has.
I said this just to anticipate someone will post it later. You know who. Really can not wait, who will laugh off at last.

Why not? It’ll be more fun watching the game when you are committed in some form.

LCW vs LD – I’ll say LD in 3. LD wants immortality with the 3rd gold medal.

I’ll take Chen Long for his steadiness and mistake-free/safe (not flashy) game plan. I like to see Axelsen lose, if only to see how he PR himself after a loss.

Sindhu is playing out of her mind this tournament! But I don’t think it’s enough to beat Marin (funny guy John Burgess pronounced it Maa Run…haha). Prove me wrong Pusarla!

How do you beat these Malaysians? They’ve been hot since the group play. Seems like their schick is for Tan Wee Kiong to be a soup-up LYD at the front and Goh V shem a young “sweet smasher” version of Tan Boon Heong. I think the Malaysians luck will run out here. Zhang Nan’s precision placements and quick reflexes would be the key. I would love Fu Hai Feng to go out on top.

    My 2 cents worth.

I seriously can't pick a winner in the mens singles. It's just going to be an insane couple of days worth of badminton.

If the new, 6 Million Dollar Man Lee Chong Wei comes out to play, it's his to lose. If not, it's China vs China battling it out for the gold.

    Unpickable.

So you're dismissing the Dane? That's a bold strategy...

Is this correct? Korean MD players LYD/YYS and KIM/KIM are retiring? Is it true? Even Bae is retiring.

I do indeed. I've been watching LD vs LCW all year.

LD gets 20 points to LCWs 15 or whatnot, then 'mysteriously' loses. I suspect China have been trying to bait LCW's best performance out of him. They've had their seedings well lined up for a while now. Seen this happen more than once. I suspect LD will win by a not-so-narrow margin in the third game.

The results can not be predicted even with any accuracy here, the reason being that once a player is under pressure, it is extremely difficult for him to recover. Sometimes only luck can bring you back from there and this can happen to even the elite players ( including lcw, ld, cl and va ). Just look at how Srikanth played in the first and Okuhara in the 2nd set in their final matches. Both of them are excellent players but once the human mind is under pressure, the whole body just reflects the same behavior.

Yeah, everybody saw Goh wavering in the semifinal. My bet is Fu and Zhang will try to take Goh's serve away and try to win a few quick short rallies concentrating on Goh. If that doesn't work, then they might play on to Tan with a few neutral shots and then try to upset Goh with a few switches. The danger for Fu and Zhang is if Goh gets his confidence up, he's practically upstoppable with his variation. Tan was a rock in the semifinal.

We have seen Fu and Zhang play badly before but I can't remember them having ever looked 'nervous' on court.

Your prediction is so wrong, Lin Dan current form has less stamina than LCW.
