I think Wang Lin also had the same injury and she recovered and also played some good matches. Sadly, she was injured again.
i don't think anyone can argue that Misaki/Ayaka very much well deserved this Gold, so much so i think it is the least surprising outcome so far in all categories. their h2h record is impressive against all other top pairs and they have been sitting very comfortably in world number 1. at least something turned out to be expected this Olympics. whew.
LOL I don't think Koreans have any bragging right in this Olympics. Their result in doubles is much worse than China.
Burgess can get a little too far showing off how many countries/players he is familiar with-- but rambly granddads like him are fun to sit next to in matches...
Where did news that li xuerin tore acl come from? Hope her badminton career is not over. Congrats to Japanese wd.
The danes have no integrity especially PEDERSEN, at 3rd round shld be 9-11 for Japan leading but the danes cheated a point. No sportsmanship at all when holding on to the shuttingcock and wasting time arguing with referee, Karma for them to lose in the end cause deep inside the danes know they don't deserve the gold. Congrats to Japan excellent performance and never give up attitude towards the end.
LOL, Erik Hoyer was in civilian clothes supporting the Danes in the audience just moments ago-- now he has to pretend to be impartial and presents the medals like he did in the Thomas Cup...heheh
The Japanese were also lucky that the umpire never heard their coaches calling Takahashi to leave a shot before it went out-- on court coaching is allowed, but no one must call a shot before a line judge has made his/her decision (interfering with line judges or opponents is a transgression-- that's why Rytter was warned for slapping Matsutomo's racquet)... Might have totally shaken up the Japanese girls if the coach was carded and made to sit in the audience?
