But for most in Kor, Jap, Thai, India, the ladies are still quite young.

In this article it says LCW and Vivian Hoo will play XD in Perak open 25-30 July (local MAS tournament), they have won the tournament before playing together and beat Chan Peng Soon & Goh Liu Ying (former WR 3) in the final. LCW also played XD in IBL (with retired Tine Baun, who is crappy at XD) and won a match.

If LYB retires after Rio, who will replace him?

Cai Yun? Zhang Jun? Chen Jin?

I have heard in one interview by saina, she said that she will retire by 27. She is 25 now. So, most probably, she will do after Rio.

Setiawan's name is already registered in Indonesian Masters in September meaning he won't retire after Rio and he's hinting he will still be playing.

Yu Yang has stated that the bronze medal playoff will be her last international match.

    Good.
She did the same thing after London Olympic. Hope she doesn't change her mind the 2nd time.
We won't miss players who throw matches.

Don't shoot the messenger. She only did what she was commanded to do. It's not like the match-fixing problem will solve cause she retires.

At least YY won a Gold before. So she won't be as gutted. I think her ex-partner (who's younger?) WXL has never won Gold, and never will? Serves her right for throwing the match I guess.

I saw LYB coaching her the other day. Somehow his approach towards her was something like a "owing her something".
Maybe he is feeling guilty towards her for missing the London WD gold.
