Sad for the adcocks. Was really hoping them and the danes would go through from their group but neither of them do in the end. I'm sure it must sting considering they had match point as well
Olympic should ban group stage all together. 1. There's players that played to lose, although now they do it smartly compare to London. 2. All the surprise just not meaningful anymore, There should be 4 top pairs that gone out already. Now I just hope all players that played to lose somehow lost in QF.
Interesting, I thought it was supposed to be no of games, then no of points, etc. Did they just change to this system because I kind of remember the SSF doing it differently
But then let's look at the 2008 Olympics. China played USA in the QFs to make it to the Semis. At least here, they have to prove their worth and play tough opponents to make it that far. There's pros and cons both ways.
It should always be H2H results in 2 way ties. 3 way ties is # of Games, and if there is a 2 way tie still, then H2H. If 1, 2 & 3 are decided by # of Games, then that's that. As shown here in the WS of the SSF in a 2 way tie: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=CA160B94-64E2-4C8A-8E18-9E269E9A46EB&draw=6 and 3 way tie: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=CA160B94-64E2-4C8A-8E18-9E269E9A46EB&draw=5 If BoMo lose in 3 and Ellis/Langridge win in 2, then down to # of points we go!
Lets see the results between ZZ and Jordan/Susanto first I don't think anyone expected the Poles to come out first from the XD group of death! I think they were brilliant.
