Yup, much better to retire on a high. In a way, Lin Dan was taking quite a risk not retiring after LOG'12 but then it's a decision only he could well afford to make with his incomparable lifetime achievements. No matter what happens thereafter, nobody can challenge his preeminent position in badminton history for many years, if not decades, to come.

Personally, I'm glad that Lin Dan chose to continue and today he is at the Rio Olympics gunning for a three-peat, itself an amazing feat whatever the outcome.

My last wish is to see these two in the finals.

Worry not, his last wish (for the Rio Olympics) doesn't necessarily mean dying wish.

He's still quite young and will probably outlive the great majority of us here.:);):p:D:cool:

No offense, but LCW has much tougher practice matches at home than this. ;)

I think he let it get to him. LCW is world class but he (Opti) made far too many errors. Chong Wei didn't really have to work too hard for the points.

They both get a bye in the next round...
    Hope u got the answer...
    By the law of draws
seed no.1 ll play 2 in the group and gets a bye
Seed no.2 ll play 3 in the group and gets a bye
Seed no.3/4 ll play in the group and gets a bye...
