yes, the player list is growing and I think we will soon see more of the Malaysian players moving to this racket. I hope to be one of them very soon.

I am sure they will stay on BS12. Unless Victor forcibly shuts down production.

BS12 still holds its own, and there really isn't any reason to upgrade.

Well I can say these have replaced my BS12s. They fix all the commonly brought up issues people who love the BS12 have with it IMO. Things like the shaft being either too soft or whippy. Much more stable platform and frame as well. Just don't expect it to be as quick.

Thanks Ch1k0 for your first impressions. Could you please make a quick comparison between JS10 and JS12? What do they have in common (if they have anything in common at all)? How much more flexible is the JS12?
And how would you rate JS10, JS12 and BS12 in terms of speed, power and touch/feel?

    Nope.

Had the chance to feel both; the frame on the JS12 is much much more aerosword-y (especially from 3 to 9 o clock at the top) than the YYS. Frankly the YYS seems weird for a JS, the sides are so rounded and not sharp.

Is there any better indication as to when this will be available in the UK?

It says available from September 2016 on Victor international which should include UK aswell, as there is some UK sites on here for the "presale" http://www.victor-international.com/index.php?page=product&id=550

Also I got this reply from Victor international on their facebook page today, I think Paul mentioned it, but now it is confirmed I guess :-(

    "Hello Lars,
the Jetspeed S12 will only be available in the 4U version in Europe .
    sportive greetings, Your VICTOR Team"

This is true, however, there is no guarantee that they will sell as a 4U in 2017 when the new catalogue is launched in March/April.

I also here that there will be a Rio version although I haven't seen one to confirm the colours.

    Interesting...

Quite the opposite strategy to YY it seems... who prefer to release mostly 3U and G4 to Europe (i hate G4 :().

The 4U has tempted me at least. If it's true that the JS12 isn't quite as headlight as the BS12, and more of a true even-balance like say the DUO7, and with a less whippy shaft then it could be alright...

I'm not overly keen on the colours but i think i'll be ordering one anyway come Sept. The spec sounds promising.

I have become a huge fan of 4U rackets after buying a 4U VT80 and then JS10 has fully convinced me that 4U or even lighter will be the way to go in the future. I firstly owned it as 4U, then was sooo keen on trying it as 3U, bought a 3U KRP in the end, but quickly found out that the 4U suited me a lot more. Advantage in power was only marginal and it was slower as expected. And as a bonus, the 3U gave me some pain in my wrist which instantly disappeared again after switching back to the 4U. And if even Sir @DinkAlot is going to 4U with the new Titan, I guess that there must be some serious reason to do so.

So I'm pretty sure that if I decide to buy a JS12 it will be a 4U too. But will I buy one at all? I honestly can't tell at the moment.
I still hope that @Ch1k0 might help me a bit with my decision by posting some more information on it. Your impressions have matched mine pretty well with other rackets so I will take your opinion on JS10 vs. JS12 vs. BS12 very seriously.

@s_mair I'm sorry if I've ignored you this week mate. It's been a hard week for me as my aunt recently passed on the 19th so it has been a long week for me and my family as we try to settle her affairs. I doubt I will be posting any of my views any time soon as they're the last thing on my mind right now.

That is sad to hear, I'm sincerely sorry for your loss! :( It's weeks like this that make us see the true priorities in life.

So take as much time as you want and need to get your mind and thoughts back on badminton. There is no need to hurry whatsoever.

@Ch1k0 So Sorry to hear your loss... I hope you everything will be ok.

@s_mair I used to use the BS12, but then switched to the JS10s.

IMO, the JS10 is much better for control play. I found it to be stiffer than the BS12, even though it is only a 4U.
I did like the BS12 at one point, but I found my defence was not on par compared to the JS10.
Even though the JS10 only comes in 4U in Canada, I found that its near the heavier side of 4U, nearing the 3U weight.
I was able to hold the JS12 when I saw it, but it was not as stiff.
The head size of the JS12 is the same as the other JS Series, except the JS10.

Personally, I feel the JS10 is the perfect racket currently. I would prefer the JS10 over the JS12 just because of the stiffness.
