It seems Wang Yihan just secures her Rio OG ticket :) Thumbs up for your great effort, Yihan ;):)... what a tough match, Carolina is a formidable opponent, yet beatable!

Yup, WYH has a leg up over WSX at this moment, temporarily perhaps, having disposed of Marin.

Let's see if WSX can regain lost ground , for sure all the pressure is on her afterwards when she steps on to the court to play TTY who has nothing to lose.

WYH is playing well currently, like those time when she used to be in good form.

Another up-and-coming Danish MD pair, Astrup/Rasmussen.

No doubt, lately, Wang Yihan is resurgent. But in this match with Marin, she didn't play particularly well, not to her capacity yet, too tense and a bit too error-prone. I'd say she won by sheer grit and determination, and that's important too, esp when the going gets tough and you seem to be fighting against yourself as well as your opponent.

Quite good, the Danish pair still in the lead at this stage, 11-8. Keep it up.

Why do they always want to ask the service judge question. Do none of the players no the signals?

Denmark has two very promising MD pairs now, the two Mads and this pair on court. And with Bo/Moe coming back as well, it's looking great for the newly-crowned Thomas Cup Champion.

Wow so happy. Looks like Lee Yong Dae / Yoo Yeon Seong and Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na are right on track to win their MD and XD matches respectively. So happy for them.

Danish boys seem to be really struggling against a top pair, but had some good wins. What age are they?

Zhang/Zhao's XD game has suffered with both the Golden Couple doing double duty. I mean MD is so competitive and tough, esp for CHN who has been struggling in this discipline, so how can Zhang Nan hope to do well in both MD and XD ? Even Zhao Yunlei's WD is affected, off the boil recently.

I love you Lee Yong Dae / Yoo Yeon Seong. Congratulations for winning the MD match today. You have proven that you are still the best MD and have liven up to your world ranking no 1. I am extremely sure you will win the MD title tomorrow. Congratulations .

both Zhao and Zhang Nan need to do double duties, whereas K/K need not (usually).

Doing double duty for Ko Sung Hyun in MD and XD have also indirectly affected his performance at the court. Pity Ko Sung Hyun having to play MD and XD matches on weekly basis when he goes for tournament. How I wish he could only concentrate on one duty only.

Doing double duty has certainly taken a toll on Ko Sung Hyun performance on court. Hence Ko Sung Hyun have lost his MD match yesterday as I believe he is tired having to play in MD and also XD on weekly basis in tournaments.
