Congratulations to Team Denmark as they win the Thomas Cup for the first-time! A dominant performance from the singles players, especially, all winning in straight-sets. Hans Kristian-Vittinghus is the hero of the day as he was totally controlling the proceeding in the second-set and Ihsan simply ran out of ideas. Tommy had the best chance today as he was leading 18-15 in the second-set, only for errors to creep in to let Viktor Axelsen win 6 pts in a row to seal the all-important first match.

As I said earlier, Team INA hopefully will come back from this defeat stronger as the young singles players gain more experience in the next 2 years!

Indonesia dominated the MD while Denmark clearly much better on MS. So, it's 2-3.
    Congratulations Denmark!

V's defence was good and he lifts for Ilsan to smash and he ran out of ideas and steam.

    Wow, Denmark!

Great win for the good and breadth of the sport!

Can't help but feel sorry for Ihsan though, the occasion was simply beyond him, at that age. Hope he doesn't pull a Kuan Beng Hong, Daren Liew or Chong Wei Feng for his career. He'll have a good career ahead if he doesn't!

Frankly, just before the start of the HKV - IMM match, I was still thinking INA has the edge as Mustofa has the youth and underdog advantage but Vittinghus, who is sometimes inconsistent, rose to the occasion to deny INA.

What surprised me most is that Hans Kristian Vittinghus wasn't too affected by nerves in a do-or-die situation.

I agree... was hoping for a tighter battle.

Vittinghus (and, in the semis, Holst) have absolutely no nerves!

Wow. My predictions were spot on.
So sad :( that the team didn't managed to make it a hattrick of SEA Games, Asia Team Champs and TC
    So close, yet so far.
Sony might have been able to turn back the tide as MS3, but who knows. It's good for the young ones to have more exposure anyways.
Congrats Team Denmark, and a valiant effort by Team Indonesia in giving the champions a good fight for the trophy.
But alas, there can only be one victor.

Chong Wei Feng is also just as experienced as HKV but he cracked under pressure when so much is at stake.
