Thomas Cup INA v KOR Prediction
MD1 and MD2 to KOR - simply too strong in this category; probably the best MD1 and MD2 in the world now.
MS2 and MS3 to INA - INA young trio is on the ascendancy while the KOR MS2 and MS3 do not inspire confidence as of yet.
MS1 - can go either way
Verdict - the team that takes MS1 will win; but if INA can take one of the MD, INA will win.

Especially on young trio on singles (Jojo, Anthony, Ihsan), I believe you all can do it.

Hendra and Ahsan is 5:7 against LYD and YYS, still could go either way IMO. They should play the fast paced drive exchange and pressure from the beginning. If they have a good game plan today, they could secure the point from MD1 which is crucial.

yes, crucial not only for this thomas cup, but also for their enroute to olympic. In the last few months, they are always beaten by "unknown" pair, except KKK/TBH. let's see how they face the world no.1.. as far as i remember, the only top pair they've meet this is year is the korean pair in thailand GPG, and they won it..

No way Hendra/Ahsan 50:50 in their form now. I'm very pessimistic for this pair :(

My prediction is Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea

I am predicting a classic INA-MAS final which always a hot encounter, (same with the supporter encounter)

Interestingly all 4 teams are quite evenly match and who ever wins will create history since it has been quite sometime since they last lift the cup.

Setiawan has a good track of record playing in China. He took one OG and one WC title playing in front of the Chinese crowd. Ahsan has the key playing role here if he could utilize his speed and all out attacks. I want them to go all out on this one as it will boost the morale for the second MD. I believe if MD1 could deliver, the higher chance MD2 could secure one point.

Remember Denmark is missing Carsten Mogensen this time and also Joachim Fischer. Also JOJ's form thus far is horrible, I read somewhere he pulled his groin muscle in the DEN-TAIWAN tie. If JOJ finds his form somehow I'd be very worried for Malaysia. Malaysia has to win the doubles, then again our traditional strongest discipline is the weakest this time round and the Danish team has some very decent doubles pairs.

Malaysia and Indonesia yes but Denmark and Korea have yet to lift the Thomas Cup. Been in finals a few times but missed out.

I could see that India may take a point from either Sindhu or Saina or the best case is both. Sorry to say that how well India team performs, it would still be 3-2 for China.

Good strategy, potentially "sacrificing" Jonatan gives the MS2 & MS3 a better chance-- Tommy Sugiarto cannot last against Son Wan Ho's current form, whereas Lee Dong Keun looks like he can be beaten by anyone now...

I think INA vs KOR will be decided by MDs.
DEN has a slight advantage of their MDs being more stable than MAS, so it's likely that MS will decide the tie; complete opposite of INA-KOR, where INA has a slight MS advantage (base on form, not ranking-- INA are fielding junior MS), and MDs will likely decide the tie.

I hope they both go to 5 games though!

I don't think "sacrificing" is the right word here. I still think it still can go either way. Jonathan is physically strong and mentally stable in group matches. 55 - 45 to SWH.

I don't believe that jonaton can beat SWH at this form ...

    well my prediction is

KOR to win 3-1 or 3-2 (if KOR drop MD1 or MD2)

of all non-chn players, I like LCW the most.

after chn lost in QF, I hope Malaysia can win this Thomas Cup trophy, so LCW finally can win his first ever major title eventhough this is major title in team competition

    My Prediction

INA Vs Korea, Korea will win 3-1 or INA will win 3-2

Son Wan Ho will beat Jonathan
    LYD/YYS will defeat MA/HS
LDK can be beaten by anyone, including Ginting
    MD2 can go either way
    Ihsan will beat Heok Jin

It will depend on the result of MD2. Korea have a slight advantage here but Angga/Riky won in their last encounter
