    Looking for a light racket to help with defense in high speed men's doubles. Yet powerful for some nice smashes from the back court.

    I use currently a lining n90 iii find it to heavy but very nice to control and has good power. I also use a Victor bravesword lyd like the speed it gives me and power is decent enough.

    Any advice and suggestions are welcome thanks.

    ZF2 is about as head heavy as you'll get for any YONEX racquet (bar ZF1), so it doesn't really fit into your fast/light thing. It's a potent smashing racquet of course...that's what it was made for! The 3U version would be impossibly slow for doubles so I assume you're asking about the 4U.

    JS10 from my reading is much faster and better suited for doubles. Less power of course, but that's to be expected. The question between 3U and 4U is less clear for doubles - many prefer the harder to obtain 3U for the additional power, but the 4U is still very common.

    Thanks for advice I hear good things about both. I hear more negative about the zf2 and problems people encounter with their shoulders

    Z speed is quite similar to js10, both even balance and hard feeling, n good colour as well lol
    BS12 is also good of course with less stiff shaft than those above, but i am a hard hitter so i am using js10 for doubles

    As far as i know, NRZP is a little bit head heavier than it is supposed to be (headlight) but it isn't as heavier as VTZF2. BS12 blue (ones that Korean favors) is quite good for double, also have a little vit feeling of heavyness on the head. BS12L & BS12N are not so much success in the market, many still prefer the old blue BS12.

    I hear the zf2 4u version is closer to a doubles racket to give you a chance on defense. Any thoughts?

    i never use zf2 4u before, but i use zf2 3u for 2 years, defence is great but its lack in speed swing, i am a big smasher, play smash is more pleasure for me, but suddenlly i enjoy play fast drive and speed, so i move to nanoray 900 and js10 for now. it give u power too, not much as zf but swing speed, insane my friend

    nanoray900 is heavier, more HH, it comes with 3u and 2u only
    both racket is speed racket, quick respond, drive, sure for double, pleasure
    more power==> nanoray 900
    more speed ==> js10

    I would say try JS10 since ZF2 is probably as headheavy as your N903 if not heavier, i hate how every time you Google best racquets in the world all the info/videos leads you to buying the most head heavy racquets in the world, its ridiculous since not everyone can wield those monsters.

    If you look for a good support in defence the JS10 is your boy. If you look for a not too demanding racket and choose smash angle, placement and a quick recovery over raw power, the JS10 is the way to go. If you mainly go for men double, go for the JS10. IMO the best overall package out there.

    Ill second the opinions made here already about the JS10, I play with the 4u version, and it has plenty of power. It's not a voltric 80/sf2 of course, but the trade off for defense and quickness outweighs the small drop in power i create with those head heavy rackets. And it gives great feeling in the hands on those tight net shots. Total package. I'd like to try a 3u version, but I'd be surprised if i liked it more.
