What a disgraceful performance by Jan Jorgensen of Denmark, throwing away the match to an old man like LCW in 2 straight sets 21:7; 21:14 in only 35 mins after having "thrashed" the mighty Lin Dan yesterday. I think the BWF should investigate JOJ for throwing away the match or something.
Juat woke up to see the second set. JOJ is.. Maybe thinking too much? And LCW is really cruising. For CL vs Jonathan... I really do think CL do have class. He is there in the 1st world ranking for a reason. What happened to Zhao Yunlei and Zhang Nan? I think it's more to personal problems and emotions between them rather than skills. The working 'trick' was not utilised today and that was the only thing I wanted to see. Jan could have proved Lin Dan wrong today.
It's not even bias anymore. It reaches the level of fanatism. Bias is: 'Yeah.. I am supporting Jonathan, and I do believe CL is a bit lucky. Maybe not Jonathan's time now.. Hats off to CL.. Or something. This one is: CL must be cheating! There is no way Jonathan should lose today, etc etc. Gesendet von meinem D5803 mit Tapatalk
50-50 ? I normally don't place too much emphasis on homeground advantage, there is but not significant. But LCW's winning record on home soil is so overwhelming that even his opponents are beginning to believe he enjoys such an advantage in addition to his prowess. Chen Long really got to believe in himself and have the will and determination to win if he is to beat LCW tomorrow. With the two maestros on the same level, the mental aspect may be the deciding factor in the outcome.
I remember someone on this forum said the era 5-15 years ago was a 'weak' era, that's why greats like Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei could dominate. Looks like LCW's total destruction of JOJ, Viktor and Son this week should put such arguments to rest for good.
why lin dan lose embarrassingly? is he tired or not play 100% or cheated by organiser or what? explain please. what is your excuse?
or he does not want to meet chong wei before olympic? or he does not like the stadium? or he does not like being service faulted? or what?
Who was said that? That is really stupid statement.. 5-10 years ago was when the four kings (+ boonsak + hyun il) prime years..
Not to mention the other players who would be abl;e to beat any JOJ/Viktor/Son/Momota these days... e.g. Chen Jin, Kenneth Jonassen, Park Sun Hwan... Heck even the likes of Mohammed Hafiz Hashim when in the mood
That s not true , not in Grand Slams anyway. Most of the time, their matches are on Centre Court but they do get scheduled on Court 2. I suggest you lift out court schedule data of any Grand Slam to prove your credibility.
The poster likes to go round and round until he lost track because he seems so articulate, which you amazingly distiled to 50-50.
