    Ahh....something I've missed:eek:

If that's the case (sounds about right) I have to adjust my prediction.
But will it be 3:0 or 3:1 to China:confused: I go with 3:0:crying:

CCTV5 - the reporter asked why Ra came out of the retirement, her response was that so [she/they]? can defeat China one more time. Either she was very confident about her team or the translation is a bit off.

Korean coaches either know something we don't and have some real weapon up their sleeves, or they have been drinking too much Chinese beer in the local Beijing pubs.

Actually, Kim DM only took part in this Sudirman Cup because the officials forced him to play and because of the responsibility to defend the SC he decisively contirbuted to win in 2003.

He did not want to play. Till the "last second" he resisted taking a clear position towards his participation in SC.

So the coaches accepted or were forced to accept the situation that the young players should taste the flair in SC and learn for 2006 and 2008.

Lee Cheolho is the youngest member of the Korean National Squad. But the most mysterious thing is thath Lee CH is a singles specialist, not doubles.

So I guess they already gave up the match and want young players to gain experience.

perhaps the Koreans is happy to have taken the cup from China in 2003, now they are just handing the cup back to them.

the lineup will certainly be a surprise and i am sure LeeYB is also scratching his head right now wondering what the Koreans are thinking. a very youthful lineup with new generation players in almost all ties. a Chinese saying, "young cub do not fear the tiger" perhaps will apply here, at least the coaches hope so.

other than the surprise element, may be they think they have no chance anyway so why not just use the opportunity to train some new players.

    strange. strange indeed.

So they might have thought that WS is lost irrespctive of the Korean player, Seo or Lee it doesn't matter without Jun Jaeyoun injured with rupture of the cruciate ligament
Therefore Lee Yunhwa is better than Seo who never won against Zhang Ning before because Lee's fighting spirit in the last years Uber Cup was impressive.

Unfortunately, Park Sunghwan, No1 in Korean MS, is also injured and coudn't train for a while. He was the only one of all Korean MS players who beat Lin Dan last year. It was shortly before the Olympics. I can't remember the exact name of the open tournament. That's why Lee CH took part in SC. Shon SM is still on his recovery from the foot surgery. Lee HI is out of form because of the military service he had to undergo early this year.

Without the old ones Kim DM, Ha TK and Ra KM there is no variety of choice in doubles.
But they didn't field Lee Hyojung twice, that's probably the sign that they haven't given up all the hope to defend the SC.
