First of all, thanks to the BC admin for the updated website, it has improved in functionality as well as in looks. I am getting confused which racket should i buy, my options are :- Arcsaber 7 Bravesword 10 Bravesword 09 I'm getting these rackets at almost same price. So, price is not the issue. Mostly I play doubles. I'm good at net and with drop shots. I'm not a heavy smasher. I'm looking for a racket with best combination of speed and power. Currently I'm using SW 36 and i love that racket.
BS10 is stiff. very stiff. so much so it can be difficult to wield if you don't have the right amount of power. ARC7 is rather soft when it comes to high end racket. It is still quite easy to swing. it will be useful for someone who is not super strong/fast but can use some extra push from the racket. I haven't used BS09. but as for BS10/ARC7, they are quite the opposite, BS10 light and stiff, ARC7 heavier (not very) but softer. it really depends on what suits you.
Thank you for your prompt reply. Explanation was really nice. One question please, How will you grade stiffness of BS10 in comparison to SW 36?
The BS09 is a slightly stiffer BS12. So it's an even-balance racket with the stiffness on the higher side of medium-flex stiffness.
Neither. The SW36 is head heavy + stiff shaft. So something from the Hypernano or Thruster lineup would be more suitable. But if you absolute have to choose between the 3 rackets you listed I would randomly pick one. All 3 are different from the SW36. It's best if you got to try them out first. Sorry.
I'm screwed then....lol I chose these 3 coz i was getting these rackets for around $100 each, which is quite decent rate. Anyways, I'll try to figure something out. More knowledge is making me more confused but it also makes a person wise. Thanks for your reply.
racket you using right now is very stiff and head heavy, I am worry that you won't get used to neither of the three you listed
Also, you might want to consider the Victor Thruster K 6000. It's head heavy, but has a mid-flex shaft. But it's around your price range.
SuperWave frame structure is more for stability I don't think BraveSword series series is what you are looking for, it is more for speed, the frame is designed with more aero-dynanic, so you will loose stability to gain that speed TK series is probably one of your best bet but you're not going to feel the same - it is generally light weight and heavy headed, shaft is probably not as stiff, as it's designed to provide a whipping effect when you smash
