I'm wondering why they play Peter Gade instead of Kenneth? I think Kenneth is in top performance now...My prediction 3-2 for Indonesia, Denmark might get points from WD and MD:cool:

The Candra/Sigit match versus JR should also be as good - if not even better. Go JR go.

    Predictions

    XD: INA 50 - DEN 50
    MS: INA 55 - DEN 45
    WS: INA 40 - DEN 60
    MD: INA 50 - DEN 50
    WD: INA 45 - DEN 55

It will be tough matches for both teams, I think INA will win by 3 - 2

Hmm, I guess no rematch between Candra/Sigit against JEriksen/MLHansen..I suspect the Danes want to have JEriksen to play ONLY 1 tie and use a fresher pair in MD..I thought JEriksen/MLHansen have been having success against Candra/Sigit..However KRJuhl will have to play in 2 ties,hmm..
Again, IMO the XD will be the key tie for the Indo..Hmm, Luluk/Alven has only play 1 match so far in this SC-are the Indos saving them in case they reach the Finals??..

It should be a very entertaining Semis none the less..

In your predictions above, DEN should win by 3-2  if both sides win a 50-50 game evenly.

Maybe they're saving kenneth for the final, but I doubt if Peter Gade can out play Taufik.

    That's 1:00PM China time.
    U.S. time is tonight(Friday/Sat.) @ 10PM(Pacific),11 PM(Mountain), 12PM(Central/Midwest), 1 AM(Eastern).
Europe is either 7AM or 6AM, depending where you are..

For XD, i think it's 50-50-it depends how Nova will do and if they can keep the shuttles low consistently and be consistent at net plays as they are facing 2 tall Danes..No more excuse(s) for the Indos as they have 2 days of rest already and be prepared..And now is not the time to panic and be nervous..
Hmm, I actually want to see how Flandy would fare playing with Lilyana..

    Gade or Jonassen?

Everytime that Denmark has played in a tournament for your team. Kenneth has always been starting at first spot in the group stage and then Peter is playing in the final matches. Denmark will never choose Kenneth over Peter. Remember last time there was a sudirman cup. Peter had just got back from his injury and was about 70 world ranked, and Kenneth was number 4. Who did they choose? Peter of course. So he is definetely going to play in the final as well.

Is the danish WD a scratch pair? If so, wouldn't Mette (unless sick/injured) be a better choice than Helle?

This really is a great draw, 3 world class performances to hope for (XD, MD and MS) and two events (WS and WD) with maybe little lower quality but equally as unpredictable and with possibility to be as exciting for the total outcome. More or less there is no clear favourite in any of the five events, just slight advantages here and there....

    Jonassen? Who?

Of course Peter Gade is playing! Who is Kenneth Jonassen? He is nothing compared to Gade.

    Crazy discussion here!

Kenneth has been way more efficient than Gade these days. Also, he's been living under gade shadow for too long.

Saying he's a nobody is kinda Hrmmm... Beside he jut broke fastest smash record for single player! :p

Not that I'm saying gade can't win tomorrow against Taufik but I'm just trying to say that fielding Kenneth wouldn't be an error. It would be even more logical.

Sorry! I cannot agree: Kenneth never beat Taufik. Peter Gade did. The Head-to-Head is 7-3! :D

Head-to-head record is sometimes not a good indicator.

Here is some important facts. Taufik took 3-4 games to have his first victory over Gade. But you have to realize that he won the last 2 important meeting Olympic and JO (excluding Copenhagen Masters).

As for Kenneth he only played 2 games against Taufik. Oh yeah, it would not hurt if you show some respect for Kenneth...
