Hey Guys,

I'am from Germany and currently looking for a Replacement for my Pros Pro TX500N.
The machine is not that bad, but i want to have something more stable with better clamps and !Constant Pull!.

I am looking and reading since 4 weeks now to find a good alternative, and now I am at the point that i got it down to 3 Candidates.

Which one would you choose, and for which reason?
Do you have experiences which one or perhaps even more of the Machines?

These are my favorites:
1) Gamma X-ELS https://gamma-europe.com/Gamma-X-Els
2) Astis ES-6500 http://www.tw-gt.de/tennis/Astis-ES-6500-Tischmodell
3) Super Stringer T50 Electronic http://www.tennisman.de/Weiteres/Be...ngsmaschine-SUPERSTRINGER-T50-electronic.html

The Gamma is, Quality Wise, no question a really good Machine.
The Astis seems to be the same Machine, Only labeled with Another Name and a bit better in price.

The SuperStringer is my Big question mark!
It has the One Hand Retention of 2 arms each as the Gamma 6004,
and the Semi Automatic Clamps look very good. Although I am not quite sure if the towers are moveable.

AND: I don't know what the Build Quality of this one is compared to the Gamma. X-ELS and Astis.

Aaaah... and just to mention. All the Machines are quite a bit better than I need... its about 3 Rackets / week that I string. But Stringing is really kind of fun and relaxing to me, so all that I look for is a machine that will relax me even more with not flexing that much ;)

Thanks in Advance for your Experiences and Suggestions.

Sebastian

I would dismiss the Gamma and the Astis, because of the tensioner. IMO both are a pain in the Popo.:D

I would also dismiss the T50. The towers are not adjustable and you can't move the side supports past the last mains. You can mod it, but if you spend such amount of money, you will be better of with something well working out of the box.

T40 E is currently not available, but in this price area, a Superstring + Wise is the best bang.

Ok.... beside of "not liking" rotational Grippers...
Anything Else? Let's say it would be a X-ST (which is similar to the X-ELS in terms of the mounting table) and a Wise?
Then the differences would only be in Mounting Mechanism and Clamps.
SuperStringer or Gamma in Terms of Quality?

Second what ucantseeme mentioned already. Stay away from those rotational gripper thingies. If you want to go all the way to a good electronic machine right in the beginning, then either go with the

T20 Electronic (http://www.tennisman.de/Weiteres/Be...ngsmaschine-SUPERSTRINGER-T20-electronic.html) or with

Gamma X-ST Electronic (http://www.tennisman.de/Weiteres/Be...Besaitungsmaschine-Gamma-X-ST-electronic.html) or

Gamma Progression II 602 Pro Electronic (http://www.tennisman.de/Weiteres/Be...mma-Progression-II-602-FC-pro-Elektronic.html)

The T20 has moveable main towers which is a must if you want string badminton rackets with it. It shares the sensational semi-automatic clamp bases and clamps and baiscally only misses the one-knob adjusted side supports. And looking at the price, my personal choice would be the T20 Electronic.

You might also find some useful information about the machines in question, especially the T20, in this thread: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...chine-to-upgrade-to-from-Pro-s-Pro-Challenger

And if you want to save a lot of money, then just go with the T20 as drop wheight and add a Wise when your stringing gets serious. Three rackets per week can easily be done on a drop wheight.

SebastianO It's difficult to compare a Gamma and Superstringer in the same price range. The Gamma will be better quality, no doubt, but the Superstringer is also great and offer some nice gimmicks and more comfort during the process. I agree with s_mair and would go for the Superstring which offer nice gimmicks which only most high end machines do. Both are a good upgrades compared to your Poo's Poo ;) If you do 6 rackets per week or less a drop weight is okay. If more a Wise should be added to minimize the time aspects and enable machine PS. If you are doing tennis rackets, too a DW will become a bit painful and you need additional time to adjust the weight of the DW for tennis. Please state your average usage. Maybe you don't need the Wise atm.
