I think he will skip AE, and only play in the final in thomas Cup only if CHN advances and then OLY games next year. Then he retires and becomes Yonex and BWF ambassador for life.
Will Lin Dan play at this year's All England? Hoping to see him live! But if he's not there, it will not matter as I get to see some quality badminton anyway!
The AE is a premier SS, therefore mandatory attendance for all the top 10 players at pain of a USD5K fine for any absentees; even if you're inured or sick, as long as you can move about, unless certified by the doctor as unfit for travel, then you're expected to show up at the tournament venue to carry out promotional activities for the organizer and BWF. Another obvious reason for LD's participation is that there're only a few tournaments remaining for the OG qualification period ending 1st May 2016, need I say more? Expect full attendance for all the SS tourneys before the cut-off date, except for the GPGs where some would-be Olympians may choose to skip a couple, if not all, according to their individual needs and wants, eg R2R Standing, resting between tournaments, overall strategy, or even personal preferences.
Why is his facial expression so funny in these shots? First one he's like "Oh my god it's a shuttle I'm so excited", and the second one he looks like he's getting ready to give it a kiss
Lin Dan is Lee Chong Wei's toughest opponent, not Chen Long:Malaysia's MS coach The head coach claims Lin Dan's deceptive game is far more difficult than chen Long's straight forward game and adds that Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei are mentally the strongest player in the game.
