My go to racket is a BS12 Blue 4U while I also having a ZF2 4U. I play mainly double and consider myself high intermediate player.

Both are very good racket but does not work well as a backup racket. The JS10 4U and Duora 10 3U maybe a better choice.

    What do you guys suggest?

The backup for my BS12N are a couple more BS12Ns.

If for whatever reason I break all my strings/racquets, I have BS09N, Arc8DX as backups. If you like a particular racquet, it might be worthwhile getting more of the same.

    BS12 and ZF2?

    lol...

anyways, nothing beats familiarity, BS12N ! haha, since it is still in production, feel the most similar and not overpriced like the BS12 blue

u can consider JS YYS 4U too...but given its newly released, its a pricey risk to take, if it turns out to not suit u

Nearly any racket is closer to bs12 than zf2 so take your pick :D By all accounts the JS10 is a great racket and same manufacturer so I'd go with that one

Whenever I switch the racket, I will have bad games the day after. Guess I need to readjust my swings.
I bought the ZF2 is to try out the HH and stiff shaft racket as I never try before. This is part of the learning and experimenting which type of racket suites me better.

I play mostly with my BS12N. Backup is a BS09 (old version) and a BS12L (4U). Many say BS09 and BS12 play very similar but i find BS09 a little more head heavy (and of course BS12 is more balance).

I also have an arcsaber 11 but i like BS12 more.

Victor meteor JJS a very good racket. i have the bravesword series LYD and BS10. both really good fast rackets. But the JJS just feels a little more solid, slightly heavier smashes from them too. slightly lacking in speed compared to the bravesword but not by much.

but i switch between my JJS and bravesword depending on how im playing.

Get another BS12 that you primarily use. There's no point in having your back up racket being completely different from your primary.

If there is a good deal for BS12, a used one will do too. Maybe I should get a 3U.

Duora 10 and JS10 not in the list? Anyone can compare BS12 with Duora 10 and JS10?

I dont have a fixed go-to racket but its mainly zf2 4u, duora10 and nr900. To me, i think i'm quite versatile in a way that i can handle hh and hl rackets pretty well. So, when one is out of commission, i switch to the other. haha unfortunately, i can't handle arc10 or arc 11.. ><"

These rackets are really fun rackets for me.

I'll be trying out a BS12N to see how it feels for me. Probably can do a slight comparison against JS10 and Duora10.

Don't take me wrong but isn't somebody, who is a high intermediate in Malaysia a big canon? Such a guy should have 3 identical rackets. Maybe I'm wrong about judging the level.

understood the desire to try out new raq, but at least they have to be of similar specs in order to be a back up?

i saw MX JJS, BS LYD, ZF2, which are all completely diff lol

give YYS a try, it is more similar to BS12 than JS10

Currently there is a good discount on Z Slash 3U. Anyone can compare it with the BS12?

Just got myself a Yellow Z-Slash. Strung it with BG66 Ultimax at 28lbs. After first two games playing with it, I can feel it is good racket with power. I do not see much timing issue which was claimed by many others. At the reduced price, I think this is a keeper.
