I believe that K. Srikanth will find it very difficult to win his match tomorrow but then anything is still possible.

A little bit of summary about Korean player performance.

This time around korea send their youngsters for this tournament. Ao what can we observe?

    MS department
    1. Jeon Hyeok Jin lost in the first round of the tournament to Muhammad Bayu a great Indonesia Ms.
    2. Heo Kwang Hee lost in the second round.
    3. Seo Seung Jae lost in the second round too to Muhammad Bayu.
    4. Kim Dong Hoon lost in the first round.

    WS department
    1. Lee Jang Mi lost in the second round of the tournament.
    2. Kim Hyo Min playing in the quarterfinals.

    WD department
    1. Kim Hye Rin / Kong Yee Hong lost in the second round.

    XD dapertment
    1. Kim Jae Hwan / Kim Hye Rin lost in the second round.

    Conclusion
So if we are to look at the korea youngsters performance I can only say this. Not very impressive. Only Kim Hyo Min have advanced. 4 MS players lost in the earlier rounds showing inconsistent results. Then the only korea XD and WD send for this tournament also lost in the second round. Only Kim Hyo Min advanced.

I am wondering what will happen to Korea badminton when all the senior players all retire. Will this junior players be able to step up and be as good as them. Currently in every tournament that the Korean youngsters have participated they have not been showing good results.

Not actually an upset as Indonesian badminton fans have been worrying about this match. This is the third time Ihsan Mustofa surrendered to Soo Teck Zhi. The H2H is 3:0. The young Malaysian seems to have the kryptonite to all Ihsan's strokes.

Ihsan needs to find out how to handle Soo Teck Zhi. But the tight match indicates that Ihsan is working on it. Hope he wins in their next encounter.

    QUARTERFINALS (03.00pm local time, 3 court) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=4A8A3A43-948B-46F8-8C90-C1B980DE6179

Men's singles top two seeds continue their journey here, both Srikanth and Sugiarto experienced tough battle at second round to eliminate Vicky Angga Saputra and Lin Guipu respectively. Today, the Indian number one will be tested by former Asian Junior Champion Soo TZ while local best hopeful Sugiarto will oppose Christie. Local young sensation Ginting who disposed 5th seed Tanongsak yesterday will face Derek Wong, one remaining quarterfinal tie will pit Prasetyo against Malaysian Zainuddin who won Swiss IC recently.

Chinese promising junior He BJ has heavyweight rival today, strong favourite Sindhu while her compatriot Chen YF will challenge second seed Maria Febe. The bronze medalist of recent World Championships, Fanetri is favoured to overcome her younger teammate Hera Desi. Thailand Open runner-up Liang XY will take on Korean number three Kim HM.

Two interesting men's doubles clashes will see CHN-INA rivalry at bottom-half of draw, Chai B/Hong W v Indonesian youngsters Gideon/Sukamuljo while former world junior champion Li JH/Liu YC get home second best combination, Pratama/Suwardi. Top-seed Ahsan/Setiawan should have no problem to advance and meet either Nayaka/Yusuf or last week Macau Open beaten finalist, Angriawan/Saputro next.

Tang YT/Yu Y is on course to book semifinal, they will take on former winner Vivian Hoo/Woon KW. At top-half of draw, four home pairs will face off to eye semifinal spot. Barring any upsets, Maheswari/Polii looks unstoppable to reach final round. Home pairs rule mixed doubles category and will see Lu K/Huang YQ as major threat to deny all Indonesian final as they're slated to meet well-improved Jordan/Susanto tomorrow.

Alfian Eko Prasetya/Masita Mahmudin is a new promising pair.
I adore Masita Mahmudin since her junior days. Always try to watch her live when i have a spare time in some tourneys.

Chen Yufei lucky to take G1, 23-21. She is not playing enough net shots and drop shots.
