What a treat, the seniors not giving any quarters, the juniors out to prove a point.

They look a bit jaded these two tournaments, not at their best, but still good enough to win.

ZN/ZYL always seem to know when to turn on the heat and get the points they need.

Could be greatest WS match of all time coming up next hehe. Will be fun. Even though I'd like NO to win, CM winning is sort of nice too, as it gives more GOAT-iming status to her.

Just gives her more status mate. Building towards outright GOAT.

By the way, it's probably easier to win OG than SS and World Champs I think? How many rounds is Olympics?

Or is it World Champs that's easier to win? Because if you're a top player, round 1 and 2 usually means you play some world number 1000 hehe.

What is easier or difficult doesn't matter.................Status matters only................Players have to go through 'Race to Rio' to even participate in Rio.............OG > all

I mean for this tournament, CM has played much tougher players on average than other tournaments, including Olympics and World Champs?:
P.V. Sindhu (ouch, what a "1st round" opponent to have)
Akane YAMAGUCHI (again, not a nice "2nd round" opponent to have)
Porntip BURANAPRASERTSUK (not too bad I guess)
WANG Yihan (as tough as it gets for a semi-final really)
Nozomi OKUHARA (a surprise finalist I guess)

    But still, the point stands?

Congratulations to Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei for playing so well and win today XD match. I know that it is never easy for them as both of them have to sp double duty. I hope Zhao Yunlei can still have energy to play in her next WD match. Good to see her playing so well.

It's interesting though. Tennis Olympic Gold isn't as big as Grand Slams right? Not sure why it's such a big deal in badminton.

Like I don't think Joker would trade one of his Australian Opens for an Olympic Gold?

Because Tennis players don't go through 'Race to Rio' or 'Road to London' i guess...........The mentality is different in Badminton
