Yes, that's a very inherent good trait of her serves. But is even more interesting is her 'forklift' manner or movement that is incorporated in her serve. It's like a forklift lowering the shuttle for blast off.
Hey, what is happening to Pedersen's thread? so quiet? I saw her being the leader in Purple League games, and also high 5-ving her malaysian partner. who wouldn't want to partner her, calm and yet, charismatic player, probably gets that from Joachim after partnering him for so long. There was this moment when she was doing her usual forklift serve, and then there was some unruly boisterous noise coming from the audience, and she stop her serve, walk towards the crowd, which also toward the camera and said 'Can you just shut up?'...
Very good player.... but seems to have a very poor attitude like much of the Danish team. Her acknowledgement of the Japanese team in the olympic finals was very unsportsmanlike.
Nah, I didn't get that sense. She was just very upset with herself at the end of the match because it was really her two smash return mistakes in a row that made the difference between a gold or a silver medal. She congratulated the Japanese pair a few minutes later.
I can understand that she was upset... I would be too. But at the very least, make respectful eye contact when you shake hands. This is adult, competitive sport.... not grade two playground games. Even in the face of a loss you should still be able to conduct yourself in a well mannered fashion. Especially if it was a fair competition, which in my estimation, it was. If I lose, the high fives go all around and there is a polite "thank you". Even if I did poorly. Even if the other guys killed us. Even if there was some controversy. You don't have to be best friends, but you should at least show respect. It's good that she congratulated them later. I have always liked her and I will continue to like her playing. I just find it hard to the watch pettiness in pro sports, no matter who it is.
Well, with her age, this is probably the last final time she can go for OG gold, and her 2 mistakes did cost her the gold. She probably couldn't even sleep that night, being full of regrets. And sports is unfair that way in that we only remember the top winner, never the runner up.
This is not pettiness. Why not look at winners? Do they rush to shake hands? No, they fool around for a while, hugging each other and their coaches, and only later go to shake hands with the losers. Do you call this pettiness?
Lol... sadly he's the only exception in that he's remembered for always being the runner up in the biggies...
In fact, I do think this is inappropriate. Your first duty should be to congratulate the other team for a game well played. And truthfully In most games, by most players, this is observed. But of course the importance of this competition is bound to bring out stronger feelings in people. This is why I love Ratchanok Intanon. She is almost always courteous to and appreciative of her opponents. I want to marry her. And I'm already married. My wife gives me permission!
https://www.thelocal.dk/20171010/be...oubles-partners-after-announcing-relationship Excerpts: 'Being a couple helps us play better': Danish badminton partners after announcing relationship “The first reason is that Christinna and I want to be recognised for our sporting achievements and not for being a couple,” Juhl said on the programme. “We wanted that recognition, and now we feel we have that, which makes it feel like the right time to tell the public,” Pedersen said. The second reason for keeping the relationship out of the spotlight was security, they said, with a number of the countries in which they have played potentially problematic for players in same-sex relationships. “That’s why we made a decision not to talk about the relationship before we were ready in a sporting sense. We had to be prepared to choose not to play in some countries,” Juhl said. They are now prepared to do that, though they remain unsure of the exact sporting consequences of making their relationship public, they said.
Lol. You have the point. Not only there, there are so many countries where same sex relationship is a sin. India, Indonesia and Malaysia. Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
They are currently ranked No. 4 on the Destination Dubai. Could this be a valid excuse for skipping a Super Series Final?
Its 2017, get over it people Ngl, I always had a bit of a suspicion. Anyway, what happens on the court, happens on the court and so on...
They will definitely attend it. $40000 for a semi-final finish and $80000 for the winner , this money will overcome any obstacles I guess. Many Denmark players are fighting hard to qualify. Hope they attend it. Their personal relations are private thing to be discussed. I wish them a happy life. Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
