''Want to beat Chen Long?Get Fitter" "Chen Long seems unshakable at the moment with his long reach, solid defence and powerful attacks. And he is super fit. He played for more than an hour against Hong Kong’s Wei Nan (in the quarter-finals), Dane Viktor Axelsen (semi-finals) and yet displayed high quality in final game against Tommy.” Rashid believes the only way for Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei to break Chen Long’s domination is to step up on his fitness and develop a new weapon in his game. “Chong Wei has to improve his fitness if he hopes to make his mark in international tournament again,” said Rashid.

Being able to stand shoulder to shoulder with so many world class athletes in the "Team Visa" programme to step on a new expedition, I am extremely delighted,"said Chen Long.
In the photo, Chen Long and Chang Peimeng should exchange positions to match the backdrop as Chen Long's name is on the right.
What an absurd statement made by one of the members asking if Chen Long is on Steroids.. Look at his calf muscles. Such an irresponsible statement undermining the hard work and dedication shown by Chen Long. Cant we have strong calf muscles without taking steriods? Chen Long has proved that hard work & dedication alone can take a player to world nos 1 status. Congratulations to Chen Long for being the world nos 1 and best wishes for your future tournaments.
I think you are reading that post too litterary. Not: "I think he is taking steroids". But: "Oh my god, those calfs are huge!"
Thanks to his stellar performance in 2015, particularly when he defended WC title in Jakarta last August. Good luck for Rio 2016
Making such statements as calf muscles huge.. is he on steroids is an irresponssible statement. What do you mean by literary. Whether you are a fan of CL or not please refrain from making such irresponsible statements
With such kind of performances as today,he ain't gonna make any fans.I thought he saves these kind of performances for Team Events But he showed that he can produce these in SS events too..............
Nothing surprising, no need to take it so hard. LCW has suffered similar defeats before to Chen Long and, esp to Lin Dan, remember Beijing 2008. Let's face it, they are all great players, you win some, you lose some; the sad fact is, LCW lost much more than some, no thanks to Lin Dan. For LCW and LD, they only have the Rio Olympics left before their impending retirement. For Chen Long, he already has two WCs, the Rio OG to aim for, and thereafter several major titles and possibly another Olympics to strive for. In this regard, Chen Long is more fortunate than LCW, it's Lin Dan that he finds hard to emulate. Don't you think it's better that he lost to LCW now at the CHN Open than for it to happen at the Rio Olympics ? A true champion overcomes adversity, learn from failures, never gives up, and emerges stronger than ever. I believe Chen Long is destined for true greatness, for he has both Lin Dan and Lee CW who set the bar so high such that whoever can reach the bar will become one of the greatest, no less. The best part is Chen Long has proven himself capable of joining the ranks of Lin Dan, The GOAT, and LCW, his archrival, at this moment. As we know, and it is widely accepted, that for the time being only Chen Long is in the same league as Lin Dan and Lee CW, no one else.
That was established a while back. For me, today's match was great for the psychological battle and how Lee Chong Wei managed to change his game around again in the middle of the match.
