At tournaments and Ranglisten the last years one of the most used rackets I saw was the ZFI. It's also the racket which I strung the most.
In Hannover, Vechelde and Gifhorn the Arc7 has a strong following...as does the Arc11. See few players using others, can only think of one who has a ZForce and two who have Vt80s (now that Behme/Gredner are with Victor and use JS10)
As Behme/Gredner switched to the JS10, so did I. My Victor Sponsorship began a little earlier than theirs, but i played a lot with them on tournaments and such but at least Behme chose the JS10 mainly for its coloring than its actual playstyle which bothered me a lot.
Hi Guys : Just to check with you , do you guys remove the Original white grip when you bought it ?, after i bought it , i remove the white grip, then put on yonex towel grip , the racket seems to be light when play . Hope to hear feedback from you guys. Thanks
I normally remove the original grip, masking tape on the wooden handle, and then layer karakal pu grip on top of that (hands dont sweat at all, cannot use towel grip). Overall i dont find the racquet's weight to change much
As far as i know Lee Yong Dae and Yoo uses Towel Grip , i wonder do they remove the original grip, before putting on their Towel grip ?
they remove the original grip and from a butt at the end of the handle with a special Victor grip adjustment-thingy, some sort of cushion wrap plus electric tape to adjust their grip size. That's at least for yong-dae, dont know about the others.
But there's nothing special about that I use it all the time. There's certainly no tape on it. Just stretch and wrap and it clings to itself by friction.
I bought myself the BS12 and strung it to my preferred tension (13 kg/14 kg) with my favorite string (Li-Ning No. 1) and it's true, the frame is very very fast. One of the - if not the - fastest I've ever swung. But I was disappointed with the feeling, it's not as lively as other rackets. I noticed straight away after stringing when I was hitting the string bed with my palm. The ping was not lasting as long as on my other rackets, N80 for example, which is an indicator for how lively it plays, for me at least. Did anyone experience this as well? Any solutions? Maybe I should use another string or tension ratio (mains/cross)...
You strung it yourself? But had no problems with shortened pings on other rackets? I've noticed that one of my stringers always produce a shortened ping on my JS10, while my other better stringer doesn't have this issue. And I've noticed an obvious and direct correlation with the liveliness feel and power of the stringbed... the longer the ping, the better.
Try a different main/cross ratio, that is usually the issue. Maybe the head deforms more than your other rackets'...
I've played the BS12 with LiNing no1 for a while, 14/15 tension tho, the racket and the string dont go well together, imo. Fühlt sich einfach nur an wie ein Brett ohne Gefühl..
The Bs12 was a little tricky where different strings and main/cross ratio were concerned...I had weirdly mixed results, great feeling and responsiveness from the Vs650, crap feeling with the Bg65, mixed results with the Bg80....keep trying different tensions on your cross strings and I think you'll find something to be happy with. kintenka: 14/15? Seriously? I'd be very much afraid for my racket, my Bs12s didnt stand up to much on 13/13,5! Broke 3 or 4 in one season...
well, I'm victor sponsored so idc if they break. but they should really be able to withstand 13/13.5 for longer than a season, honestly.
