He could do that, but I think he is busy listening to what his own coaches have to tell him. :D

Nah, don't underestimate him. He's very likely aiming to peak at the right time for nothing less than his third OG gold.

I don't know why people still think that... First it was at the start of the Olympic qualifying period that he will show his true form, then the WC, now it's the Olympics. :p

Personally, I don't think LD has got what it takes to take his third Olympic gold medal, when he will meet CL (maybe even JOJ, VA, etc.) on his way.

One has to admit that his speed, stamina, power and so on are decreasing and he is no longer invincible. Sad, but true.

    Just a gut feeling. :D

I wouldn't bet against him for OG gold. Judging from his past performances in big and small tournaments, his plan now is just simply to play enough to be the number 2 player from China to qualify for OG.

When the time comes closer to Rio, perhaps we should have a poll of who we think will win OG... :)

We can't predict anything. Anything can happen. Victor, though he beats lindan , he is still vulnerable to many players. And JOJ , i dont think he will win even a medal. But victor can.

Lindan has still time to come back. But there are lots of people now who may face lindan @ olympics without fear and they can face him with confidence. Yesterday, his game with prannoy was very fast pace game. He was able to match youngsters in speed . No need to worry now.

I'm not sure if LD is able to get nr. 2 in world ranking as long as he doesn't advance frequently in tournaments...

Hard to tell really... But I agree with you on Taufik. He kept going far too long, when he should have retired already.
