Nice video, really well done! I am pretty sure that you are aware that the order of events has in fact been the other way round, but I think it's more than okay to turn it around for the sake of good entertainment. By the way - I have been there live to watch at the Swiss Open 2014 Finals when Viktor made this 'brilliant' shot. It was hysterical - his coach was looking concerned for like 2 seconds and then started laughing so hard... And it was that very match when I became a fan of Viktor. Game 3 was such a thriller....
Agreed. I messaged him with words of encouragement several times on Facebook and he often replies which is nice
He seems very professional. His attitude on court has matured recently, he don't get frustrated and annoyed easily as he used to, and he don't let so many shuttles land in by misjugment. Very promising.
Yes, he has really improved a lot in the last 12-15 months and shows a very professional approach. Although I'm still a bit surprised that he has been the only player at the previous WC who pushed Chen Long to his absolute maximum. That match was one of the best MS matches I have watched in a long time. If his development continues like this, he will for sure finally win a SuperSeries title until the end of 2016. And as a person, he is indeed very nice and friedly. At this year's Swiss Open my wife spotted him in the warm-up area before his final. She just waved quickly with a pencil and his photo on the tournament magazine and he came over to sign it. And what should I say? That's how you turn someone with almost zero badminton-background into a die-hard fan of yours...
Absolutely correct! I got sweaty hands from watching despite the fact that I already knew the result! No idea how modern badminton could get any better than that. Okay... maybe next time we see that 30-29 in the third game after 2 full hours of almost-heart-attacks...
I'm not so sure if I really want to see that for 2+ hours. To be honest, I was quite disappointed how little excitement that last WC final has caused for me. I was expecting a big thriller but it somehow felt like it was only a really open and close match within the first 10 points. Afterwards it was so damn obvious that CL had everything under control and that even LCW was fully aware of it and gave himself up to fate.
Soooo close again.... but again an incredible match after an extremely solid week at the Japan Open. That rally at 17:17 in game 3 alone had more thrill than most matches in total. The mental and physical strength of Lin Dan is just out of this world. But I repeat it once more: 2016 will be the year of Viktor Axelsen in which he will finally win his first SS title.

I remembered someone said he withdrew from Yonex US Open due to his injury but still showed up in a club in NYC, I just happened to find this video from BWF. https://youtu.be/9rFHJoADPWY?t=718 This young gentlemen has to much potential, both on and off the court.
Yes. And he is getting good at it as far as I can tell. .. (not just hallo and thank you). He did miss the 2nd half of one of Lin Dan's answers though. When giving the translation he said " ... and the last part of what he said I didn't really catch" But thinking of some of the horrible translations we have seen at the super series tournaments, I think he did really good!
