My two day old Nanospeed 5500 clashed with one of my friends rackets. Mine literally flew off my hand while his got completely wrecked. I feel lucky that I let it go so my racket didn't suffer extreme damage, however, there seems to be a crack that's making me feel very uncomfortable. I've been playing with this racket for only 2 days and I fell in love with it. It will be disappointing if I have to say goodbye after such short notice. Damage is at 10 o'clock of the racket. The damage doesn't seem to run around the shaft, seems concentrated in the area only. Can you guys help me assess the damage? -- Paint chip? Minor fixable crack? Goodbye racket type of crack? Will it be okay if I still use it regularly? Will it cave in after the next re-string or after a big smash? Is there a way to fix this? :crying::crying::crying::crying: Thanks!
It's a bit hard to tell from this picture it looks like a crack but at the same time it doesn't really look to deep into the racket to really create a huge difference but I could be wrong. Have you played with it afterwards have you noticed a different feel or anything different period?
Well played with two days after the clash and I haven't noticed anything different with it. I was very receptive with the racket after smashes and hard hits to the point that I checked my frame almost every minute in the game. Didnt feel anything weird with it.
Is the crack completely around the racket frame or just on the inside? I don't think it will matter honestly unless it's wrapped around the whole frame.
