Plz provide your logical, legitimate and LOL predictions without using maybe,if,but type of words and just one sword kill answers Mine: MD:Funan Express WD:anyone of the two finalists XD:Not ZN/ZYL.
haha, I agree. MD: LYD/YYS XD: Has to be ZN/ZYL surely. WD: Not a big follower of WD but if I have to pick one ... matsutomo/takahashi for no particular reason
Okay here is my prediction of who will win the MD, XD AND WD CATEGORY. For the MD category I believe ko sung Hyun / shin baek cheol stands a higher chance to win than Lee Yong dae / yoo yeon seong. This is because everytime when both of these pairs meet up, it is always ko sung Hyun / shin baek cheol who wins. For the WD category I think Chang Ye Na / Jung Kyung Eun stands a chance to win if they can play very well. For the XD category I think ko sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na stands a chance to win as both of them have already won two titles this year. They have even defeated Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei twice this year so I think they stand a chance to win. However all this are just my predictions and I may be wrong here.
MD: Ko/Shin or Lee/Yoo XD: Zhang/Zhao or Tontowi/Natsir, dark horse = Ko/Kim WD: Ma/Tang or Tian/Zhao, dark horse = Luo twins
Lee Yong Dae has a jinx for playing MD in big tournaments... he's never won the Olympics and World Championship in MD. Besides, there's Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan
Men’s doubles department is dominated by INA (8 times) in World Champs history followed by CHN (6) and KOR (4). A surprising winner in 2005 Anaheim WC when sensational home pair Bach/Gunawan topped the podium who beat Indonesian former All England Champion Budiarto/Wijaya. The World Champion victory is unfinished business for double specialist Lee Yong Dae as this title is still elusive for him, thrice runner-up position in 2007 Kuala Lumpur and 2009 Hyderabad (partnered with Jung Jae Sung) also last year (with Yoo Yeon Seong). Once again Lee/Yoo will be one of top contenders alongside 2013 world Champion Ahsan/Setiawan, European #1 Boe/Mogensen and reigning World Champion Ko SH/Shin BC. Another title contender should be four times World Champion Fu Haifeng who partnered with his junior Zhang Nan, this Chinese duo affirm their status as one of elite MD after being runner-up in three SS, scored opening point in Sudirman Cup Final and nailed TPE GP Gold title recently. BWF Preview => http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=97279 It’s already 20 years China WD pairs stamp their authority in this category, the last time non Chinese combination won World Champion crown was Gil Young-ah/Jang Hye-ock in 1995 Lausanne, Switzerland. The Olympic Champion Tian Q/Zhao YL and former World Champion Wang XL/Yu Y presence along with world #2 Luo Y/Luo Y and relatively new partnership Ma J/Tang YT, China is still powerful and will on top once again. Another contender, Matsutomo/Takahashi, Pedersen/Juhl and home favourite Maheswari/Polii are considered to deliver serious threat to break the great wall. BWF preview => http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=97258 Mixed doubles last year champion, Zhang N/Zhao YL has challenging draw as their two long-standing foes, Fischer/Pedersen and local hero Ahmad/Natsir are drawn in their half also two tricky opponents Reginald Lee CH/Chau HW and Ko SH/Kim HN, the latter toppled them at last month TPE GP Gold. Twice silver medalists, Xu C/Ma J is predicted to once again cruising into last round, their obstacles should coming from their teammates, Liu C/Bao YX, Lu K/Huang YQ and two European rivals, Adcock/Adcock, Kolding/Juhl. BWF Preview => http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=97236 It's tough to predict MD WChamp, the gap between faves are only separated by thin lines WD, one of Chinese pairs XD, Zhang N/Zhao YL despite they have more difficult path than second seed Xu/Ma.
First in world ranking - YES... but imagine the pressure to perform. Everytime the opponent takes a lead, they'll be under pressure. Also imagine the cheers from the crowd when they see the world no.1 trailing in a game... ! I mean if they somehow win this, hats off to LYD/YYS... but despite being world No.1, they're beatable.
I agree. Especially with some of the poor performances they have shown lately. However miracles can happen, and maybe the home crowd effect might put off Ahsan and Setiawan - probably not, but there is a chance. Also the luck of the draw may be on their side.
