Gosh this is funny. Are you confusing the lucrativeness of a sports tournament with the relative poverty of a nation?? This is beyond funny.
By 90s FOs profile had diminished.

in many case, poor country cannot offer big prize money

but where is your answer ?

since you said french and swedish more lucrative, then why susi never come to french ?

And a whole lot confusion arising from linguistic skills as well.
As much as I am tempted to press the ignore button, the comedy of the situation is keeping me from doing it. And too think that I was embarrassed by the weird jingoism displayed by my compatriots in this forum.

the problem is, susi never won china open, that's why the debate is going off topic, by saying french and swedish is lucrative than china and malaysia, and so on and so on...

    just stick to the topic.
LLW won 4 IO titles, while susi never won china open.

Not true. Its relative. Based on demand-supply. India is a poor nation.Yet our cricket tournaments offer higher prize money than UK or Australia.
Looks like your reading skills are as pathetic as your comprehension skills. (Sorry for the personal attack, you are getting on my nerves again.) Go read post 80 AGAIN and this time PLEASE donot miss the 80s part.....

Well anyway I am pretty sure both of you are too young to have known LLW, Susi or Gong. And to know how great they were, you have to be from the same era then they. Because the stats are not enough, you have to taste the style, the context, etc.

That is why I never try to answer if LD is greater the Zhao or anyone else from other era, except the fact that according to the stats, he is unmatched.

    that's why I said : in many case...lol

you have a problem with your logic.
    really a big problem.

    remember the "overtake" issue ?

ok lets to stay on topic.

first of all, what is the relation between Susi never won china open and the Swedish - French which is more lucrative than chn and mal ?

second, LLW won all of the above events, CHN, Mal, Swe, and French, while Susi never won Chn and French

third, 1989 still in 80's era, right ? so why Susi didn't attend Swedish - AE - French just like Li Lingwei ?

almost retire LLW can participate in 3 events in a row while susi is affraid though susi was 7 years younger with the greatest ?

so tell me, what is the relation between susi never won china and the lucrative of Swedish and French ?

LD never won MO. but chong wei also never won china open

LD already won 2 OG and 5 WC. how about lee chong wei ?

LLW won all SSP titles, susi cannot. that's the difference.

even LLW can win it at least twice

korea open start from 1991 lol

You should take opportunities to get out of such a stupid debate when it is offered

Just as statistically SS is unmatched in WS in the modern era like LD in MS.
Yes, I was too young for LLW.

world champion in WS and WD
world #1 in WS and WD

even with stick to WD, LLW was very superior in WS

and yes, LLW was the most successful WS in WC history. Susi is about #4 or #5 in history. it is not even close

in each edition of World Championships, LLW manage to win a medal.

LLW retire with glory, as the world champion and world #1

    that is unmatched until now.

That is why it's called an opinion, anyone can agree or disagree with it.
Anyway I agree that Gong Zhi Chao is better, better than any players from your country.

Assertions are not facts, you still have to prove it while everybody is entitled to their own opinions. We have to distinguish between fact, opinion, belief, and prejudice.

At least Fortune used facts and figures to back up his arguments, it's for us to question his interpretation and analysis. It's unlike kruntil who sounded like quarreling to me as one match doesn't prove anything.
