For those of you in North America, you might've caught Paul Newman (actor, race car driver, and badminton fan!) talk about badminton tonight on Leno. They even showed a clip of the olympics mens doubles game as a clip! Newman highlighted the fact that badminton is in fact a very fast game, and that he's been playing it for years apparently.
good! i love his movie 'Nobody's Fool'... he's a great actor and delighted to see that he takes delight in playing badminton!
Does he have a website?? Hi Guys!! I would like to make contact with him!! Do you know if he has a webpage or something?? Kind Regards Jonas
It's been known for some years now that he and some other Hollywood stars played the game. Among them, Leonard D'Capri (if you believe that).
You can try his Salad Dressing sitem http://www.newmansown.com/ where all proceeds goes to charity. Newman has been known to play badminton for years. Other stars includes Leo D'Carpi, Jet Li, Jackie Chan and Sally Yeh (who occassionally shows up at the Vancouver Racquets Club when she's in town).
I doubt he has or needs a webpage. The man's a legend. But here's some that I've found about him Maybe his agent's number's http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000056/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Newman His own line of sauces for charity! http://www.newmansown.com/
- famous public figure Newman. - very popular show viewed by millions of american, The Tonight Show. - regularly showing footages and let guests talk about anything they want. - and more importantly, it is only possible with Jay Leno as NBC owns the footage. it wouldn't have worked with Letterman. total brilliance! this is perfect publicity for badminton. hopefully there will be thousands of americans curious about badminton now.. Newman has earned himself a new fan.
since the day of inception of course 200$ million profit a year from selling salad dressing is alot even by Kraft standard
Look at tapes of 96 Olympics finals Watch for camera scans of the crowd, you'll see Paul Newman enjoying the match (don't remember which final).
