Does it have shipping AND VAT? Why did Ashaway become so expensive :crying:

You don't have to pay VAT, it's only for the UK.

That's right, no vat if not UK, so $99 + $6? shipping. And yes, totally worth it... imho of course... :)

Looks real to me. $110 per reel from retailer here in Texas. That $100 price sounds like for distributor.

That's excellent. I hope that Ashaway continues to manufacture the original Zymax, too. I am hoping more US retailers will stock Ashaway so the string doesn't have to travel 4000 miles there and 4000 miles back, considering it's made in the USA

Just talked to Black Knight Canada.

I ordered 2 packs of 62 Fire and 2 packs of 66 Fire Power.

It is quite pricey... :( coming up to more than 8$ a pack.

These strings better be good! I need a good replacement for my VS850s

    Who'd you email, Fred?

Make sure you string one lb lower for zm62 than your vs850.

    I emailed fred directly.

He took some time getting back to me, probably busy.

    1 pound lower? my VS850s i use 27x29.5

Since its 0.68mm and zm62f is 0.62mm... wouldnt 24x26.5 be more appropriate?

I strung old 62 and vs850 at same tension as I like it soft. If you like hard you might not like. Especially not 66firepowrr. I can string 66fire 2lb higher than vs850 and still want more.

Yeah, but 66F is already a significant improvement over 65...
