Was it you who asked this before? I thought I had answered it.

The 60 and 66 samples that I tried are noticeably better at staying straight than 62 or 65 at the lowish tensions that I use (24-26 lbs). At higher tensions, there would be much less movement. At any rate, as with any string, there's less movement after the string settles in after a few sessions.

It was me. But that comparison is between 60 and 62; this time is 62F.

Could be because of import tax too... CAD gov't is always raking in on those import taxes. But then again, they can making a profit.

Considering that the strings are good, and costs less than yonex, I am willing to give them a try. Hopefully 62s will replace the VS850s for me. Nothing but bad luck with them

Nah, even I can import them for cheaper (or close to) than BK's wholesale price from stores outside the country. If these stores make a 30% profit on the strings, it's safe to assume BK makes about the same profit or more (I'm pretty sure Ashaway sells their stuff cheaper to distributor than local retailers)

    Thats true...

Between the conversation i had with the manager of BK, he says that the price he is giving me is just as good as the local stores.

It is believable as I have worked in a sportchek for a long time. Before I got BG65s from the store for about $7.70... Cost + 10% discount.

It is believable that store would be sold the strings for 7$ a pack.

In turn, the retailers will mark it up, to make a profit

62F does have little movement, or should I say better than ZM65. It feels a bit stiffer than 62 Mk2.

Yep, yep, and yep ... :D

Although I should say frm my experience with the 60 and 66 samples ... which should be able to be extrapolated to 62F

Somehow I feel 62F less repulsive than 62, but I strung it with my normal tension for ZM65. Will try 1 lb less next time.

That's what I perceive as well. I think Ashaway probably use country pricing like what other big companies do.

You've just made a very general statement. It depends on where the ZM62F is made as tariff rates vary by country. However, in general, Canada have very low import taxes compared to plenty of other countries in this world.

Lol..... even same tension as me... :D

Then, yeah, 62Fire is much much stiffer than 65, you'll need to drop at least a lb next time.

66c@26 on plastics. Very soft! It kicks with no effort like 3lb lighter than it is. Still plenty crispy round the net though. Very much like 660zti, so not for everyone, but I like it. Feels quite similar to ultimax to me so far. Match on Thursday with feathers so will get a proper test :)

P.S. so much string movement. Doesn't bother me but I know it does bother some. So I think its a sign to string 66fire higher than expected.

Really? I find it less than 62 and 65 at comparable tensions. At any rate, let it bed in after a few sessions, or stop slicing! :p

Have you seen the prices on GoodeSport? They're RIDICULOUS! It translates to about $182 in USD!!!! I could get two and a half reels of the second generation Zymax for that much
