Victor has no logic/consistency on their naming. Why did they start with hx800 not hx80 if it's a high end one?
They always start with the number "8", except the BRS series. MX80, TK8000, JS8 The logic is based on the Chinese market, whereby all of Lining prime N series are 2 digits. The Chinese communities (at least in online/forum) use to refer a product with its number. It seems that Victor avoids to use 2 digits in its prime products. So that there wouldn't be any confusion in referring a racket. IMHO
Similar to the way Yonex always starts with a "7". I don't think they could have called in the "HX80" without confusing with the "MX80", to be honest.
There's a saying round our way: you can't polsih a turd. The BS8 was a dreadful racket no matter what colour it was!
Indeed. But I kinda hate where they're going with the warrantied tensions on their new hybrid frames..it doesn't bode well to me..
And you guys forgot to mentioned that everyone is starting to hate where Victor is going towards pricer rackets... No long value for money like before...
Given the recent Yonex pricing structure with the zpeed and nr900 selling in the UK for £180, Victor's top racquets still represent a better value than the market leader.
If they still make better stuff than yonex does then I'm not complaining yet. So far they haven't dropped to **** feel levels like yonex has.
