And lets face it, how the hell do you make a warranty claim once the racquet has been used........and chipped, hit by others, dropped etc. etc. Yonex are terrible and just refuse to pay out or exchange whatever! and make a whole lot of excuses to go with it.
They're accepted here, especially through the retailer because I assume he's used to handling them. A one piece string job is starting from the middle like a regular stringjob, but you have much more string on one side so you can continue onto the crosses with that string, instead of tying a knot. When you are done with the crosses, you tie the string. That is how you end with two knots: one side of the mains is tied as usual, and the other side ends where the cross strings end.
How tall are you? For me - 5'11" - mains = three spans plus a forearm, crosses = three spans minus an arm.
I use arm spans aswell, it's probably the quickest and easiest method I have found as you are pulling the string out with your arms already. You will get a feel for how much you need after you do a few depending on tension and type of racket but If you start with mains 3 spans and 1arm crosses 3 spans at 5'8" that will be enough easy. eyeball excess you have beyond the tensioner clamp and cut the length down appropriately next time.
Thanks! I appreciate all your guys feedback! I can feel at ease now haha & I have another question & how many times just I pull the string with crank? This YouTube video said three but my friend says it's better with one? /:
With regards to pulling with crank machine, it seems to me that if you pull slowly once before it trips, you mimic the string stretching of a constant pull electronic machine rather than just pulling it 2-3 times quickly, where the string is not really being stretched enough. What do you guys think?
Pulling slowly once does not mimic constant pull. Also, pulling 2-3 times does not imply pulling quickly, all pulls should be slow/slow-ish for better results.
i am 5'11" . i do one piece string and measure 6 spans. with two span mark the top center. 2 spans cover half main and bottom two cross, rest 4 spans cover another half main and rest of crosses. still waste 3 to 4 feet string.
