ahhh thanks for the correction. i knew one of them was iso but i couldn't remember which one. i was confused because this website has it backwards: http://racquets.gosen.com.au/ makes sense though since the type v is supposedly based on the shiden design. i'm curious how the type v compares to the shiden.
Pretty much online is the only source of data available for me since there is no dealer for Gosen racquets nearby to check it out and it's not popular here either with others in the club. My current racquet is a 3U Voltric ZF and would like to hear perspective from others who have been using Yonex racquets and now switched to Gosen I play doubles and consider strong in the back court that is for smashes, clear, drops etc. From what I can gather the customedge x is ideal for front court (net play) as against the v but I like the fact that x is isometric. The Trivista Delta is more towards generating power based on a chart. I haven't come across anyone using this yet
Juventus, have you had a chance to try your racquet strung with the damper? How does it compare against a Yonex Voltric Z Force 3U
no.. i did not try as i prefer the undamper sound! this is a balance racket and should not compared to VTZF. each got their advantages. however i feel that the Shiden is still a classic at the "balance racket class" which cannot be overtaken by Customedge type V. if you considering to lower your heavy head to balance... you can give it a try! definitely money worth!
I'm in the market for a adidas duo force as well. When you say uncomparable.. which one do you find better? Would much appreciate if you could give your opinion between these two rackets. have been using Carlton's Razor 1.0 for some time now and have broken one of the three that i bought, thought maybe its time for a change. Looking forward to your reply. regards, asmd.
oic... duoforce is not a bad racket.. quite a all-rounder rackets. very suitable for double play. However i stick with Shiden as it is more repulsive, accurate and fast! Duoforce looks clean and classic... but shiden looks elegant and classy...hahaha..
Customedge S/X/V specifications... for those interested... By the way, customedge V and X has very remarkable paint finishing of all the racket i see!
I have a question about the weights on the customedge x. Are they something that you have to put on while the racquet is being strung or is it something you can change whenever you like on the court?
The strips can only be taken off or put on during the stringing process since the string goes over them. So whenever you change your mind, you have to cut the strings each time.
Thanks for the info. That sounds like it's kind of a burden for the stringers, would be better off finding something that's already at the ~300 balance then.
Or you can get the Adidas Switch Pro Racquet which has the adjustable weights which snap on and off without needing to restring each time. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...874-REVIEW-Adidas-Switch-Pro-badminton-racket
