Not necessarily, Son WH's defense against smash is particularly good (when he plays well, which is not always the case).

Mas pair gave Lee/Yoo a good fight, but lost 15:21, 22:24

tomorrow it is Tan/Hoon´s turn to challange the top pair!
Could be another entertaining match, as most of the time when TBH and LYD meet ;) (y)

Also thought Kor girls would have a better chance against Pedersen / Juhl.
Jpn WD pair had an easy match. I hope for a Den-Jap final

Oh no! Have you seen the program for the MS semis? What a shame! Two Chinese in the upper half, and two INA in the lower half! Can't they switch?

One Chinese & one Indonesian will feature in the MS final. Will it be Lin Dan against Tommy S who both thrashed their respective opponents in the 2nd game of their QF matches?
Carolina Marin did well in her match against P V Sindhu and I reckon she will get through to the final.
XC/MJ fluffed again and I wonder whether LYB will break their pairing.

What I'm trying to say is Lin Dan is not back at his best yet, maybe not even 90%, and his smashes not as lethal as before. Lin Dan up to this moment is about three months into his comeback trail after his long one and a half year hiatus during which he only played one tournament, the WC 2013 (discounting the BAC'13 prior to it where he retired at the QF), so I'd expect another three months at least of intense training and competition for him to be anywhere near his best.

As for Son WH , I've no doubt about his amazing retrieving ability which is why on that particular point Lin Dan needed three successive smashes just to get him out of position before SWH finally hit the shuttle long. Btw, there were a few occasions where LD scored smash outright winners. The rest of the time, he was moving his opponent all over the court with well-placed shots , interspersed with errors, and sometimes found himself on the receiving end of SWH's sharp attacks.

OTOH, LD also made quite a few uncharacteristic errors, even serving low and wide and faulted once when receiving serve, which to me signifies that he has not fully regain his deft touch and feel for the game yet. On the whole, LD nowadays is very much a rallying, stroke player, hardly the fast and furious attacking player that he used to be - well,I'm more or less getting used to it.

Both CHN and INA have secured 1 final ticket and we'll see entertaining MS final hopefully ;)

    SEMIFINALS (01.00pm, 2 courts) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...76F387-F73A-4B14-BDEB-D5D59D6CB275&d=20140628

Tomorrow's semifinal first match will be opened by the intriguing WS match between Wang SX v Nehwal, most likely the winner of this tie may grab title on Sunday's final unless either Marin or Hashimoto could spring big upset.

Two CHN WD have two difficult opponents, top two seed and may derail their hopefuls to go on. Hot fave Lee YD/Yoo YS will get another MAS challenge, Tan BH/Hoon TH. Will MAS MD end the Korean winning streak?

CHN v INA in MS final. Lin D will grab final spot against the unpredictable outcome of all INA affairs.

It'll be good if the organizer also included the other WS Marin - Hashimoto match on TV court.

In the INA PSS last week , there were eight matches scheduled for TV court on Semifinals day, how nice and thoughtful of them.

Sorry to whoever asked me about court 2 stream. I was away. Just go to http://www.stopstream.tv/ and find it there. For some weird reasons, they are under European Club Championships 2014.

I'm not too sure but, honestly, my confidence in WSX is not high, maybe 50-50 tomorrow; she's no LXR, after all. The last time I had expected WSX to beat Intanon R simply because I thought she can read her game very well as shown in their earlier encounters but she wasn't up to it on that occasion. However, I've no doubt that WSX at her best can handle IR, SN , SJH, and anyone else in the ROW.

IMO, WSX is not at her best this two weeks whilst Saina is in fine form since the Uber Cup. We shall see. But I'm curious to know on what do you base your faith in WSX winning tomorrow, if you care to explain?

U mean SN is going to loose easily...not on the earth it is clash of two titans (both my fav) but WSX plays simple style if Saina moves on her feet quick and regular smashings she can make a much awaited ss final n maybe winner

Again, WSX not smashing the short lift is going to cost her dearly.

WSX playing too many predictable deep forehand sliced drops.

Just like her match with IR last week, no intensity, not proactve, just reacting - how not to lose?
