Nan Wei, Bonsak, Sasaki vs TCC will also be very interesting Nan plays very interestingly and moreover BP ie also very inconsistent!! I am looking forward for morally boosted pradanya/siki vs pia/Amelia...recent victory of the jwala/ashwini over the INA no2 will give them a psychological edge also!! Hope they turn the table... SN Should win comfortably I guess as she looked fantastic both physically and tactically against LXR..and moreover we all saw Su stumbling in her previous match against RI
But she knocked out Sung Ji Hyun, the 4th seed, which certainly must have boosted Yu Sun. She came back from a 21-6 2nd set loss to eventually win, which is creditable.
The welcome dinner for the Australian Badminton Open was held on a boat! And the players had the chance to see the Sydney Harbour, Opera House by night. Source - https://twitter.com/badindiaupdates (They have photos too)
mmh. I would like to have the reasons behind the withdraws. Other players like LYD are playing the third week now with winning in JO MD, winning the INA O MD, making the SF MX... Is he one of a kind or should we expect professionals to play about 15 matches within 21 days??!! I really have to question these withdraws as these top guns train for idk like 6 hours a day and can´t play the above mentioned amount? Well, let´s see how LYD and YYS and SSC fare in this AO staminawise...
Yes of course she defeated SJH....but SJH has a very diff style of play then SN..and I strongly believe SN can defeat sung any day...and its the last match which shows ur form more accurately isn't?? Her game was very timid against the world champion moreover I believe now SN can defeat any top lady except the Li and Wangs(may be SX will loose) any day..and I expect as well as hope to see a very neck to neck fight SN vs WSX
Yeah agreed...and y not it is always a difficult task to hold your nerves and give ur best when u Are up against more experienced and higher ranked opponents..no offense but I never find pia/Amelia playing anything extraordinary infact I wonder how they manage to win and hold such higher rankings...
We'll know tomorrow If SN can get through to the 2nd round, she can go pretty far in this tournament. The BWF, in their article, has aptly written - Sixth seed Saina Nehwal, in search of her first World Superseries title since the 2012 Denmark Open, is a likely semi-finalist against top seed Wang Shixian, assuming she overcomes Wang’s compatriot Yu Sun in opening action.
Thanks for this, Mr. Epic! Some great pics there; I really freaked out on the one with ZYL and the milk, haha!
I like the one with Lin Dan and Victor Axelson being driven to a press conference. The veteran is cooly scanning his mobile device whilst the youngster is still trying to figure out his seatbelt.
Chris, your first wrong pick as Danish top XD lost to Germany Fuchs/Michels, I notice Fischer/Pedersen often troubled by GER pair Thanks Mr.Epic to share twitter link A nice welcome dinner by Aussie organizer!
It's unfortunate for JFN/CP last week's Indonesian Open winners to be bundled out in the 1st round. It's a case of heroes one week earlier and zeros the following week. Such is sport.
