It's just incredible that LCW could reel 11 points in a row from 10-12 down to win 21-12. Congrats, LCW.

That's understandable. LYD is a megastar in Korea, more or less like LD in China. There is a Korean reality show called Cool Kiz On The Block in which celebrities choose a sport and practice to compete against club players. When they were doing badminton, they filmed an special episode and invited LYD, YYS, the Korean doubles coaches, PJB and some other famous Korean badminton players. I watched that and YYS said when he partnered up with LYD, people remembered him as LYD's partner and kind of see him as the weak link. He also said he felt pressured when partnered with someone famous like LYD.

Not bad, Zhao Yunlei's smash from the backline is good enough against the male opponent.

Zhang/Zhao's tactical awareness whether individually or as a pair and their mutual rapport is so good that it gives them an edge over most of their opponents.

I must say, Fuchs/Michels, have a fine run throughout this tournament, playing better than I expected. Well done, runner-up in a SS is commendable too.

What about having a full stadium instead of empty VIP seats?

No chance cos if HY is 5 years younger then LCW and the rest will also be 5 years younger,
unless HY alone goes thru the time tunnel!

China won 2 titles through their Olympic Champions, 1 title each for JPN, KOR and MAS. All finals were finished by straight-sets, the most anticipated MD match delivered thrilling atmosphere especially game 2. Credit to KOR pair who denied defending champion forced rubber games despite two points away from winning second game.

MS, it's a routine for Lee CW to win SS title, one sided final encounter as predicted, nothing surprise by Hu Yun who unbelievable knocked out Chen L & Jorgensen here.

Li Xuerui stamped her powerful display in final to defeat TPE talent Tai Tzu Ying once again. Similar contest with another CHN representative Zhang/Zhao to retain their title, nice performance by Fuchs/Michels.

Matsutomo/Takahashi finally grabbed their first ever SS title, this pair is more and more improved of attacking shots. Congrats to all medalists, well-organized tournament as usual :)

The draw opened up very well for them and provided a fantastic opportunity for any pair in the opposite half to Zhang/ Zhao. Expected the Adcock's to reach the final.

Indonesia will be different with Ahmad/ Natsir, Xu/ Ma & Pedersen/ Nielsen in the draw.

I saw a facebook pic of the winners, second place and third at the podium. Basically, LYD stood up and YYS sat down seperately. So there are some issues there!

Interesting looking back on the later part of the second game, if you count each critical point won - either escaping game point from IN, or getting towards match point, LYD took total control and won those rallies directly - YYS was almost superfluous on the court. The majority of times where KOR fell behind were caused by mis cues from YYS. I noticed LYD started trying to keep YYS focused and to calm him down as it neared game and match point territory.

Yeah, but that push away from the hug did seem extreme considering the celebration.
