Quite a steady performance by Sun Yu in her Uber Cup debut.

I had been thinking that the Kashyap-Chong Feng match would probably bring some cheers to the Indian fans but turns out it's worse than the previous 2 matches.

So with the conclusion of the 2nd singles, India have lost their opening tie. Against Korea, it's going to be the same fate in my opinion. Also, the way the Germans have begun their tie against Korea today projects that they aren't weaker than any other team and I foresee India ending at the bottom of the group.

Sorry suetyan, CWF is on fire today, after a long time it seems. Kashyap, though ranks higher, was a complete washout in G2, home support regardless.

It seems that once the Umpire has made a decision, no challenge is allowed and the "No Decision" board will be raised if a challenge is requested by a player.

are you sure? If I am not mistaken, players are allowed to challenge even the umpire has made a decision. Moreover, Kashyap raised an immediate challenge.

Unfortunately I did not hear the commentators when they discussed the No Decision point.

My gut feel is that if the line judges made a decision not confirmed by the umpire, then the decision can be challenged.

Yes Kashyap had raised the challenge to the umpire, but the umpire confirmed the line judge's decision. So No Decision from the Hawkeye department.

I hope someone in authority can confirm this No Decision rule.

German is on fire! Can German KO Korea?

On the other hand, the British women team is also on the track.

Wow, England 3-1 Chinese Taipei. Chinese Taipei really underestimates their opponents.

The Germans are giving the Koreans a hard time winning both the MS1 and MS2, with Marc Zweibler and Dieter Domke beating Son Wan Ho and Lee Dong Keun respectively. Not quite what I expected, yet not that surprising, Marc as well Domke are capable of rising to the occasion; if I remember correctly, the GER did something similar to the KOR in the previous Thomas Cup tie. Seemingly, the team spirit of the GER is remarkable.

As it is, the Koreans have to rely on their MDs to even the score, 2-2; it's now down to MS3 to decide matters.
