Yonex AS40 always having consistency problem on different batch.
As I tried, AS30 or AS50 always more consistent than AS40.

What price range are you considering?
Afterall, it really depends on your budget and uses.

Many shuttles have a different build.
Depending on its build (glue, string, feather and cork) it can make a difference in its play.

I am using AS50. Got it for RM78. <S $31. Durable for hits smashes and excellent in flight speed consistency for 2 games or more. Overall value for $$$ compare to AS40.

RSL Supreme will not last long for hard smashers. AS40 or AS50 will last longer. Protech Platinum also lasts fairly long. I remember one Victor model (Victor 1?) and one Ashaway (tube with red wordings) could really last for smashes.

Bro Porky. I tested many RSL and RCL shuttlecock in the past. But till I switch from AS40 to AS50, I release is the best shuttlecock among other for durable and flight consistency. A 3 hours session with many hard smashes only used 10pcs. If I used AS40, it would easily take 12-14pcs. Many brands have durable shuttlecock, but the setback is the flight consistency after a match or less. :)

hola4, do you use speed 2 or 3? Was at honly jb last week and the AS40/50 speed 2 shuttlecocks were all sold out. Only Speed 3 AS40/AS50 shuttlecocks were available but I reckon they are too fast for Singapore weather?

We tried Protech Platinum and find the flight consistently very nice. Unfortunately it can not withstand a set of heavy smashing - require a few.

Another example. Feathers on RSL Supreme shuttle does not break but slow down after several heavy smashes during a set. Hence need to be replace eventhough the shuttle looks new-ish.

Shuttles to be used are a balance of cost and how it would fare in your groups game. Every group plays their normal game a bit differently.

Sealman. I visited honly today. The boss told me speed 2 out of stock for awhile already. Thus, I got 5 tubes of AS50 speed 3 to try out. Weather does play apart, just have see how it go. :)

RCL shuttlecock is durable, but their flight consistency is not my taste.
RSL flight is nice, but durability is pretty decent.
My session once using mixture of shuttlecock consists of Protech Royale ~rm58, Protech World Class ~RM61, RCL Black No.1 ~rm58, Yonex AS30 ~rm67, RSL Classic ~rm58 and RSL Supreme ~rm67.

Recently my team member just confirm and only continue with Protech Royale and Protech World Class. More consistence flight and average durability which about 8~10pcs for 1-1/2 hour game.

I would recommend my Bauhinia Sport BS900. It is international tournament quality. I have never sold to Singapore but contact me if you are interested for a try, I could set a price for you. We are based in Hong Kong.

Doing a calculation base on 8pcs of protech Royale for 1.5hours and 16pcs for 2 sessions is about the cost of 1 tube of AS50(RM77.3). You can try to get 1 tube of AS50 and see it last for 2 sessions. Your team members will appreciate it. If it doesn't last, then continue with Protech. :D

I would recommend my Victor Gold. It is real good quality and value. I buy it from Taiwan, the price only $15. We can usually play one to two game.
