Amazing, Xue Song shows maturity during play, under so much pressure, with the game slipping away, then he gets a grip on himself, stays calm, recompose, rethink his strategy, dig his heels in and fight back point by point to get himself back into the game. My, oh my, what a match.

Hope he can build on from his first senior title now and see him in June in Australia again.

    neither myself!

it seemed SK carried the disappointment of losing the G2 into the decider, losing his touches, OTOH XS kept on his momentum... both present very good badminton match to watch!!

Infact , srikanth is the one who is mentally weak. Hope he realized by now what went wrong in the second game. He should utilise it in a positive way to build his career.

Agree and I think the coach may give too many advices during the match which may unsettle SK a bit too.

This extraordinary experience will benefit Xue Song much, boosting his confidence, enhancing his inner belief, and stand him in good stead in future. His character, perseverance and never-say-die spirit is remarkable. Coming from behind to win when all seemed lost is an unforgettable experience that can only toughen and strengthen him substantially.

K Srikanth is praiseworthy too. There is good reason why Li Ning picks Srikanth and Sindhu to offer them sponsorships.

AUS Open is now SSP, not sure if he is qualified to play yet. I certainly hope he could.

I think this is a lesson Srikanth will never forget. He should have stayed calm and played safe since he had a commanding lead. I hope Gopi stops shouting instruction after every rally.

Now I understand how K Srikanth could beat Son Wan Ho the last time. I daresay he is the best IND MS at the moment, next is Prannoy.
