CCC Social Challenge Matches: Terms used and Schedule . For new players and/or CCCers not having played with us for a long, long time, we shall post the info about our "CCC Social Challenge Matches". 1. Terms used: 1.1 Qualification Match = Your first match. 1.2 Challenge Matches = Your later matches. 1.3 Schedule Match = Your next match, after players waiting before you have played. 2. Schedule of our Matches: 2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List. 2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then inform chris-ccc. 2.3 Pairs with already 'arranged partnership' will commence their matches first. 2.4 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches. 2.5 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winning pairs and losing pairs awaiting to play in their next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled, when the 4 players enter onto the court, they may exchange partners if they wish (in other words, amongst the 4 winning players, or amongst the 4 losing players). If a winning player is to partner a losing player, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning pair or a losing pair). 2.6 The shuttlecock placed under the net (in the middle of the court) is for the next scheduled match. 2.7 Court No.10 is used for losing players' Challenge Matches. 2.8 Court No.11 is used for winning players' Challenge Matches. Please Note: After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match. We welcome other suggestions to help run our CCC Social Challenge Matches more exciting and more efficiently. .
6 Requests . Reminding CCCers that we have 6 Requests (1) Please pay for your session fee as soon as you arrive. Why? So that I don't need to chase after players for your fees. (2) Please bring correct change to our session. Why? Sometimes 10 CCCers bring $50 each, causing me extra time to get change from the MSAC shop. (3) Please put shuttlecock under the net (court centre) after your match. Why? Because the next group of players need to know where to find the shuttlecock. (3) Please tell us your partner, or for me to arrange a partner for you. Why? It is best to be set-and-ready about partnership before we start our session. Looks like this week's session is going to be like last week's, requiring us to reduce our courts booking (because many players got very tired, playing too many games; and many left early). I am conducting a coaching session today at MSAC, 4pm-6pm. Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 29-Jan-2014 (A short report) * It's our 298th Wednesday Night Social Games Session at MSAC (after we have moved here permanently); and it's our 4th for this year (2014). * We thank CCCers for removing themselves when unable to attend (therefore allowing others to join in). As you know by now, if you have booked in and didn't show, you will be fined the session fee (because you have prevented others from taking your place). And MSAC charges our court fees if we cancel our courts within 24 hours before our session starts. * It's great to find Full House for this session (8 CCCers turning up to play). Playing almost non-stop, many got very tired and left early. * Great to see Jerry-L back again (from his holidays; away for 6 weeks). * Julie-C said she will be away to participate in the CBA League starting next week (also held on Wednesday nights). We will miss her. * Regarding our Summer Season (starting from 1st of December to the end of February), so far, CCCers who have done their renewals/applications are : 1. Chong-S 2. Janice-S 3. CCC Social Challenge Matches: Terms used and Schedule . For new players and/or CCCers not having played with us for a long, long time, we shall post the info about our "CCC Social Challenge Matches". 1. Terms used: 1.1 Qualification Match = Your first match. 1.2 Challenge Matches = Your later matches. 1.3 Schedule Match = Your next match, after players waiting before you have played. 2. Schedule of our Matches: 2.1 Before starting, first find a partner. For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread asking for partners. We now have a Partnership List at the bottom of the Booking List. 2.2 If no partner is found/absent, then inform chris-ccc. 2.3 Pairs with already 'arranged partnership' will commence their matches first. 2.4 With set (limited) number of participants, we should have a quick turn-over of matches. Therefore, warm-up hits are only permitted for Qualification Matches; There shall be no warm-up for Challenge Matches. 2.5 After your Qualification Matches, there should be winning pairs and losing pairs awaiting to play in their next scheduled match (the Challenge Match). As scheduled, when the 4 players enter onto the court, they may exchange partners if they wish (in other words, amongst the 4 winning players, or amongst the 4 losing players). If a winning player is to partner a losing player, we don't know how to name your pair (as a winning pair or a losing pair). 2.6 The shuttlecock placed under the net (in the middle of the court) is for the next scheduled match. 2.7 Court No.10 is used for losing players' Challenge Matches. 2.8 Court No.11 is used for winning players' Challenge Matches. Please Note: After your match, please remember to place a shuttlecock under the net in the middle of the court for the next scheduled match. We welcome other suggestions to help run our CCC Social Challenge Matches more exciting and more efficiently. .
