I think we don't need to feed the troll.. those trolls who bought a bunch of domain name and then try to sell it at high price (look at coca cola and how much they pay for their domain website) badminton central is already really great. we don't need badminton.com.. plus 290,000 Euro is huge (I can buy around 3-4 good houses in Jakarta for that amount)
It's a good try but "badminton" is not the name of a company. So, the value would be very, very low. 29 euros is more like the value, and that's for more novelty value than anything.
There lived a rowdy chap named Minton who sought eagerly to meet Bill Clinton "I've been naughty with the ladies and I'm dying to tell all my buddies. So, would you please buy me the domain bad-Minton?"
badmintoncentral is bigger than badminton.com, so who cares?! tell them they need to pay you six figure to give up badmintoncentral!!!
yeah. the name is just a empty shell. but the potential is there. i don't think he is getting much offer though. honestly, the up side when it comes to money on running badminton site is very low. there just isn't enough marketing interests for it to justify the investment.
Quite right! I'm getting the same feeling, kwun. PS: But, the phrase "low six figures" in his email argues against this feeling
if you are a great businessman, know what you are doing, then maybe having a nice sounding domain like this will help. but if u are a good businessman, you can make any domain work, and the cost and return of paying so much for this is questionable.
why don't you offer sell the badmintoncentral.com to him at half the cash and continue with some other domain? with the cash perhaps start a bc badminton equipment line and sell to us at cost? kwun900p eh?
