I've just been reading all the messages, and replies in this forum. Some of them are hilarious, like those about having shuttle surgically removed from the body. I really, really enjoy my game of badminton and my partner will tell everyone that I spend much more time laughing on the court, than actually playing the game, although I don't do too badly (I think). We're quite a close knit community in Durban, but I'd really like to meet other avid players around the world. I probably have no advice to give, other than if you're gonna play, then enjoy the game, so it would be nice to hear from other enthusiasts.
    Glad I found this site.

    justcoll, welcome to BC/BF!

look around. there are so many humors and real useful material contributed by so many others. i hope you enjoy them.

to answer your other question. as far as i know, there are no interactive chatrooms for badminton, at least, none that sees any heavy traffic.

Hi, I am also new in this Forum. I really find this site excellent, there are a lot of intersting things to learn. I am from Portugal but living in Luxembourg, little country in between Germany an France. I play Badminton everyday and on weekends I play Championship. It's interesting to read what people do in other countries and how crazy about Badminton you all are!!! You all know so many things about racquets and strings...etc. I've been reading all what has been posted the last months and it's excellent...

Uhmm... yeah right. Actually it's not half as cold here as in Canada.

Anyway, we have one or two Finns here too. They're probably closer to the North Pole than I.

    You play everyday?!

Argh that's criminal, I've never played everyday, the most I've done is six days a week, and that nearly killed me :p

When I was serious about the game I only played four times a week, for two to four hours a time, and did other exercise for the other three days to reduce strain on my arm.

    PS From Melbourne Australia here.

    Re: You play everyday?!

Well it is not that I train every day. I train Monday to Friday and then on Saturday or Sunday I have a Game. It is not that i play 7 days in a row what happens only every two months or so. Well I have to say that I train with the National Team.
That's why I can train so much.
