As I said before, they need to be splitted. before the same situation of Frans/Pia and Rijal/Debby happens. I don't know what to say "jenuh" in english. They, and MD in general need refreshment.

Now that Markus has won a SS title at the age of 22, Rian/Angga are facing some sort of peer pressure. I will give them one more year to win a SS title. If they cannot achieve it by end of 2014, they should be split!

Angga seems to be not motivated sometimes.

End of 2014 is way too short to prepare for Olympic 2016 medal....

As Herry IP mentioned, Angga needs to lose some weight while Rian must work on his smash

3 straight first-round losses at SS/SSP events. Enough said.

Geezzzzzz!!! lost of Chris Adcock/Andrew Ellis in straight set in 35 minutes!!! Where were they doing in the court?

I am so outraged that they can lose yet again the 1st round!

All INA MD and XD pairs that are going to 2013 Sea Games had bad result in Europe and China.

Can they still get 2 golds from MD and XD. Rijal/Debby can't beat Singapore pair in their last encounter.

MD maybe only challenge is Malaysia but at this kind of performance will be hard for them

    2013 record:
    The high pts
2 GPG (Australia and Indonesia) and 1 GP (New Zealand) titles.
SF finish at the India SS (lost to Liu/Qiu)
QF finish at the World Championships (lost to Boe/Mogensen)
    Beat Fu/Cai in Sudirman Cup

    The low pts
6 R32 and 2 R16 exits at SS/SSP level tourneys (out of 9 that they participated in this year, missing the Korea, China Masters, and Hong Kong)

1 R16 exit at Swiss GPG

    The losses were to:
    Ahsan/Hendra, Boe/Mogensen, Lee/Tsai (2x), Adcock/Ellis, Jongjit/Phuangpuapech, Kamura/Sonoda, Ko/Shin, and Conrad-Petersen/Pieler-Kolding

    W-L record: 25-11

Their last tourney will be the SEA Games. If they cannot win the Gold Medal (as expected), then, its better for them to split up as early as possible.

I just checked and SEA Games for Badminton starts on Dec 9 - Dec 14. it is less than a month. Who else in MD to join Angga/Rian? I only see MAS as our strong rival in MS, WS and MD, VIETNAM in MS and SINGAPORE in WD, XD.

    For 2013 Sea Games : INA MD : Angga/Rian, Berry/Ricky Karanda.

    full squad : http://www.badmintonindonesia.org/app/information/newsDetail.aspx?/2264

XD will be Rijal/Debby, Riky Widianto/Richi

All pelatnas players, except those going to Sea Games and Super Series final are being returned to clubs for kejurnas. After that, they are going to announce next year pelatnas which is going to be about 50-60 players(according to the press conference by Rexy http://www.badmintonindonesia.org/app/information/newsDetail.aspx?/2269 )
, much less than this year.

Angga/Ryan got good results in this MAS SSF.

I watched them against Lee/Yoo and against Goh/Lim.
They are very good when play at their best. fast and powerful.
need to cut their unforced errors. Angga seems quite motivated. I think Angga's skill is exceptional.
If they keep playing like this, they have a very good chance to be in Top 5 at the end of 2014.
But I just hope that they can be in WR #6. I think it's enough to show their improvement

I am impressed with Angga's performance. He has lost his weight and it has translated to a good showing in the court. However, both are still not clicking at times, the smashes are not controlled and they give too many unforced errors. Please win a SS event already!

Too bad that this pair lost in 3 tight sets with Endo/Hayakawa. If this pair advanced to Semi, we could have all INA Final.

    I'm not not suprised though..
Angga Pratama always has trouble playing against Maneepong Jongjit, since junior days, whoever the partner.
Lost twice to jongjit/issara, and twice to jongjit/puangpuapech.
he and della destiara also lost to jongjit/rodjana in semifinal of WJC 2009

    ------------
above all, I am stil thinking of splitting Angga/Ryan would be a good option.
