Good day everyone. I'm intermediate level player. Currently Im using Apacs Lethal 9. Everytime i use it, when i try to smash, i feels that it's vibration is too strong and it hurts my hand and no matter how hard i smashed, the shuttle speed is just too slow. So, im thinking that is it the racket is too flexible for me? the Lethal 9 condition is as follow:

    Strung: Yonex BG80 @ 26lbs
Grip: I just remember it's from Fleet

Now, I'm thinking of buying either one of them (Apacs):

    Tantrum 200
    Tantrum 500
    Slayer 88

Any suggestion would be appreciated. :)

too much vibration => not clean hits.
no power => too stiff/ poor technique.

Lethal 9 seem to be flexible, 4u racket. Probably those racket is too flex for him, so no power. Another possibility, TS is not a wristy player so not suitable for 4u racket. Slayer 88 seem to be the best choice for those 2 reason.

Hmm... i c... so those are the reason that im not a wristy player or do not have enough power? but when i use my yonex carbonex 8000 light, it is much more better and even more powerful. Any reason? Im sorry for being a noob here.

yeah, i found Lethal 9 too much vibration and lucky i had sold it to my friend. since you are intermediate player and like to smash alot then you should get Apacs Lethal 70. you will love it. Tantrum 200 is less power. for Tantrum 500, i still have it and quite head heavy so i don't like it. for Slayer 88, i haven't tried it but Slayer 99 is really powerful racket and even balanced too.

thx for your suggestion irwan, i also like the slayer 88 whereas for lethal 70, i need to see for reviews first. :) Between isn't that head heavy racket will also help in generate more power for smashing?

Just bought apacs lethal light power (max: 35 lbs), racket is very light weight and suitable for smash and net play too..
feel much better than yonex voltric 7.
Tension: 28 lbs (rampage 66 string)

i think Slayer 88 is even balanced racket and quite light only 4U racket. it is more for the all rounder player.

if you like smashing then you can't go wrong with Lethal 70, it is so powerful and so solid. there are so many reviews for lethal 70 in this forum and i have found a review from the below website. it is so informative.

they have the review for Tantrum 300, you may refer to it.

I think slayer 88 come in 2 version : 4U & 3U. But you're right that it is an even balanced racket. What I really want to suggest in previous post is slayer 99, not slayer 88. Sorry, my mistake

according to Antony from Badminton racket, Slayer 88 is better than Slayer 99 in term of smashing but for the netting Slayer 99 is better.

i have checked on the Apacs website that there is only 4U for Slayer 88, no 3U.

I think it depend on may thing. I have both slayer 99, tantrum 200 and to me slayer 99 definitely has more power than tantrum 200. The bulge in 4, 8, and 12 o'clock really help in generating power. It's a bit demanding than tantrum 200.
