Hi everybody, I gets 2 Yonex rackets but they are all just broken on last month. I need to buy a new one & would like to have your recommendation. I will prefer Yonex to other brands. My budgets is HK$500 ~ HK$1,000. Many thanks.
hmm.. Last I counted Yonex had about 47 different models of badminton-rackets.. Based on your question I would say buy a couple of "Yonex B-560 DF+" If you don't know what you want from a racket other than what manufacturer produces it (Yonex in this case), I think you should probably just stick with the least expensive.. Or to put it differently.. What would you think an expensive Yonex racket would bring you that the inexpensive Yonex-racket doesn't give you??? Do you think the most inexpensive Yonex racket is better than the most expensive one from another brand??? Best regards, FingerPower
Why don't you read reviews of the many racquets here before coming to a brief conclusion of what you are targetting. At least you can decide for yourself.
is that 500-1000 HKD for a pair of rackets or per racket? also, you might want to help out by telling people your playing style and level.
My past experience on Yonex rackets is good. And I never test LF that many guys highly recommended, specially the LF 500 Ti. My original plan is to buy MP77, just want to collect more information if there is other rackets should be under considered. How about you? What is your suggestion.
Hi stantan, Good question. Below is my answer, hope you can help me. 1) HK$500 ~ HK$1000 for 1 racket 2) Double, offensive.
Brands... I tried to explain, that I don't think you should purchase a "brand" (that's the wet dream of the marketing departments ).. All the major racket-producers have VERY different rackets to choose from.. You should start by trying to find out what type of racket you like? Long/regular, Stiff/medium/high - flex, Weight, stringing-tension used, balance, head-shape etc... /fingerPower
Thanks all of you. Firstly, it is hard for me to tell in detail for what I want. Cause I'm not experienced as you are. Just for your reference, I almost play double match & trend to offensive than defensive. All my play mates use Yonex rackets, I've tried MP99 & MP77, both seems good to me. Therefore, I plan to buy 1 new racket from MP or AT series. Of course, MP is much cheaper & within my budget. But if AT gets highly recommendation, may be I will pick AT. One things, when I go through some forums here, I notice there should be some more good choice like LF Ti500 & Dunlop 300G. Believed there should be some more quality rackets I don't know. Even Yonex rackets, I never test them all. Hope you guys can give me some more suggestion.
suggestions OK some suggestions of rackets for you to try (important to try them out, because what it right for another player doens't need to be right for you).. * Yonex MP77 3U * Babolat Comet * SOTX Titanium-9 * Yonex AT800DE (may be over your budget though) * Carlton Powerblade * Prince More +87 * SOTX Woven 4 * Wilson Vision V4 These would be my suggestions to tryout if you are looking for an offensive doubles racket, that you could "grow with".. I love the AT800.. but if budget is thight, I would not think you get the best price/performance ratio from the top-end Yonex rackets :-( /FingerPower
I dont know what the others think but I would say that if the Armortech 800 line is not yet under the 1k HKD mark, its price should go down once the new NS rackets come out on the market, knowing how HK works and all =)
LOL. *Goes psychotic* It's relatively new racquet. There are 4 reviews in the review section and there's a whole thread about it. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13644 ^_^
