Where did Tubby spring from? isn't he the same one who used to just keep returning and wearing down the opposition last year?

Indeed. Taufik deceptive play was so deadly back there when even LD and LCW didn't stand a chance. And Taufik is still the only one widely known for his extremely deadly and powerful backhand smash. None can reproduce such skill for now. Although he missed All England title, he's still the best in my heart :D

I noticed FHF's slowness in the Singapore Open this year; really slow reaction, and very uncomfortable with his smashing -not reaching fully into his smash. Is it possible he's carrying a back injury?

I predict the 2nd set will be fairly easy for the Chn pair... same outcome as the previous MS match...

MAS pair blew it. Had FHF/CY by the short and curlies but contrived to let them go. They will go down tamely in G2

FHF did his best imitation of CY, he covered the net fairly well! But his backcourt play was just average despite it being his best attribute. In fact I thought CY had more threatening smashes.
