65 lasts the longest of any .66ish strings. 62 I dunno. I cut it off my racket because it sucked so bad. :D

Just to confirm, are Ashaway ZM62 and Li Ning AP62+ are basically the same by having have .62mm gauge ? I used to string my Victor rackets with AP62 @ 23lbs and they worked together very nicely. The only problem was durability, as the .62 string doesn't tolerate any mishit especially under higher tensions (>24lbs).

that's what some people seem to say... yeah 23 lbs is the max i can go with zm62 if i don't want to restring every week or two...:)

ZM62 is a bit rougher, the Li Ning AP strings are super slippery. As a result, the ZM has slightly better control and the AP slightly better repulsion.
Not too much of a difference between the two concerning durability, I can't even string them at decent tensions let alone mishit :D

LoL... Yeah, it's the only string that makes you wallet cries big time. Sometimes I break the string after 2-3 games, not even survive one whole session.
AP62 Plus, the new version of AP62 is the slippery one since Li Ning put a layer of coating to make it slightly more durable IIRC... Rough strings seem to break more easily.

A stiff Victor racket like MX80 or MX-JJS can be strung with .62 string at lower tension if one doesn't like the vibrating feedback. Under 22 or 23 lbs, it doesn't feel loose and still very repulsive.

Zm65 lasted me something between 3 weeks and more than 12 (which is where I cut pretty much any string as it gets too numb). Zm62, between 10 and 240 minutes. Never survived a full week of play.
Of course there were a couple first-week breaks of the ZM65, especially in the first session, but only 10-20% (which is 2-4 rackets, I used up the whole 200m roll myself).

I disagree, I hit a lamp in my living room while warming up at home, hit pretty hard. Was scared like hell that I broke my BSLYD. Not a scratch.

Strung my BSLYD with ZM65 at 24/25 lbs (11/11.5 kg) - feels nice, especially the control is great.

Knocks on wood. I haven't noticed that yet on my thruster. Semi related I just wanna say I like the k8000s aesthetics more than the k6000. What's with victor and yellow lately?

And the same goes with my MX60. And my SW37... This really is something they should look into.

What didn't you like about the LYD? Give us more details in comparison to the N70 so we can get a better idea =)

I've had the N70 before and honestly I don't know any victor that can really come close to it in terms of feel since it had a pretty long handle and short and med flex shaft.. The closest I could think of would maybe be the BS 12..But that's about a step or half a step stiffer than the N70...
